A little more then a month ago my parents sent me here for suicidal thought and actions. It was the worst week of my life, the staff treated us like objects, they would just ask the same questions every day, the groups were pointless, fights broke out several times, the staff acted like they were just there to get paid. I didn't get the help i needed instead, it made things worse, when they TOLD my mom that they DO NOT use a shot or any chemicals to seduce the enraged or those having a mental breakdown, even though on multiple occasions they seduced patients using a shot that just made he/she pass out. When you filled out the personal forms, they ask what things help you when having a mental breakdown, they DO NOT take into consideration any of these things but the acceptation of leaving you in a quiet room. When i personally had a mental breakdown saying,"you have to wait day or two to be released " after that i asked to be left in a quiet they refused to let me because, "they don't want to use there keys" THERE FREAKING KEYS. That's why i will never trust Oasis again.

The staff are horrible. The faculties are never cleaned. It's a toxic place. Someone really seeking help will never get it here.
I myself was a child to go to Oasis, and it was absolutely terrible. To be at the young age of 11, it was mortifying. After suffering from deep depression and trying to commit suicide, I was sent to Oasis by my parents without any input myself. When I got there the staff asked so many questions it was overwhelming. They made me take many tests, and a lot of which were very unnecessary.
The place itself was very unclean. The only place that was actually cleaned up was the rooms where the parents were allowed, which says a lot about this place. With the parents not being able to see where there kid is going to be staying, they have no idea how their kid is going to be treated. The space the kids got to roam was very limited and you basically have no freedom to do anything out of line.
The rooms were a complete mess. The shower had hair stuck in the drain. The walls were covered in pencil markings, and the bathroom was a complete mess as well, with soap spilled on the floor, the sink barely worked, there was no sign this place had been cleaned in months.
It's also terrifying for a kid to be shoved into this awful place by their parents, because those are the people they trust most and for them to just be shoved in with kids all different ages (11-18 year olds) was both scarry and odd.
They also let a boy cut himself all over his body and face before anything was done about it. Another girl was bawling her eyes out and they gave her unneeded medicine without parent permission, the medicine made her sleep, she was unharmed but this was terrible to do.
One night two girls got into a fught, resulting in the smaller girl to have a long and bloody scratch mark from the corner of her eye to the center of her neck while she also had a black eye. They are seriously shoving kids with completely different issues together while the staff do literally nothing.
The 'activities' that are said to help them, are really just arts and crafts with some sad quotes or whatever. If your thinking of sending your child to Oasis, don't, they won't get the help they need.

I spent 7 months in the residential facility and 3 weeks in acute care. The people here really do care about you, and they work hard to make sure you have the correct treatment. Nicole, the psychiatrist, was amazing and handled my medication and treatment amazingly. She was understanding and listened to my concerns and actually following through. All of the BHTs were friendly and always did their job. They stopped fights when they happened, listened to us when we needed them to and gave us support throughout our stay. Nurses were thorough when giving medication(s), always asking for our DOB, name and listed what we were taking. They respected HIPPA at all times. When I got my therapist/counselor, he listened to me and respected when I wasn't able to talk about something. The only compliant I really have isn't for me, but for Oasis. They were under staffed constantly and sometimes had 1 staff member on the floor. When there's 12 kids to watch, safety isn't going to fully be there. This isn't the BHTs or the nurse's fault, it's the overall company. Oasis, you really do need to step up and make sure the staff to patient ratio is ALWAYS consistent and maintains safety. This was a great experience and I recommend anyone to bring their kid here for proper care and treatment.

I arrived at Oasis on Saturday morning January 13, 2018. Approximately 9am. From that moment on, the staff was awesome. I need to acknowledge BHT'S, Sue, Paxton, Charlotte, Barbara, Linda, Nora, and Jason (SW), on Sage Unit. I can't thank you all enough for all you did for me. I hope many more patients get to benefit from meeting you. Keep up the good work

I stayed in the residential part for over a month. It was absolutely horrible. Treated like prisoners, other patients always trying to jump you (and BHT's encouraged it). None of the groups are helpful in anyway. The rules changed every day. They skipped giving me my meds some days. The only good part about my stay was my therapist. Please choose another option for your child, this place has traumatized me.
