A diner serving more than just food. A diner feeding love, community, communication, and curiosity. A place where people of all walks of life come together and spend time with their friends/family. A place where no one feels alone. A place where one meal satisfies the soul and spirit. A place that becomes a daily routine and customers become family. My experience at Offshore Diner was one of which I have never experienced before. The majority of the customers here are known by name, I can see why this was possible because the first question I was asked was my name, I was welcomed and loved like no other. I will certainly come back like many with my family. Thank you for a wonderful time!
I came to this cute diner for the first time today for breakfast. The food and service here is great. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the waitstaff. They treated me like I was a regular and not a new customer. They have a pretty decent sized menu and the prices are reasonable in my opinion. They also seem to keep the place very clean. I will definitely eat here again in the future.
My wife and I stopped in at the Offshore diner after a too-long day, tired and hungry. We were seated immediately by a friendly waitress who announced "We have menus and you're still in time for the Early Bird Special!" Long story short, my wife got the brisket which came with a salad, choice of potato She got baked, choice of vegetable Spinach a beverage and dessert all for $20, tax included. I opted for broiled fillet of sole, french fries, spinach and a root beer. My wife's brisket was tender and flavorful, my fish was broiled to absolute perfection and my french fries were perfectly crispy outside and fluffy inside. The spinach tasted very fresh in both our cases. We were too full for dessert, but our waitress next time I'll get your name had us take home an apple turnover and a blueberry danish. Between the friendly service and the excellent food, I'm sure we'll be back when we're in the neighborhood!
Excellent breakfast in a friendly, comfortable, classic diner. The kind of place that regulars walk into and are greeted by name, asked how their doing, and if they want "the usual". Traditional options along with a number of house specialties. The English breakfast was delicious, and plenty of food. Perfectly grilled tomatoes, tasty sausage, potatoes and beans, with eggs, toast, and of course, good hot coffee. I ate every bite, what else can I say?
Wonderful restaurant for breakfast. Excellent service.Food: 5/5
One of my favorite diners in the area! Their french toast is the best, but the quality of their food is pretty good all around. The price for food here definitely makes it very good value, and the employees are always very kind.Food: 5/5
An amazing old-school Brooklyn diner experience. Food is great, people are super friendly, restaurant is clean and updated. All-around great experience, every time I visit.
Nice staff and probably very tasty food, because it was almost full, when other restaurants had no people at all and rude staff. Will come back for lunch next week.
Great little place for a nice breakfast or lunch in bayridge! They never disappoint!Food: 5/5
Used to order once a week, but this is my last time. I ordered the chili with cheese and a patty melt after working an all nighter. The chili was covered in American cheese, not cheddar. Would have appreciated a call asking if I'd want to swap or skip the cheese. Who puts American on chili? And the patty melt came with a raw onion, not sautéed onions. If the owner is reading this, whoever was cooking Wednesday morning needs to step it up. It's one thing for food to be bad, it's another for it to be careless.
