The turkey chil soup is excellent and the tuna pannis are large and tasty . I frequent this store because it's close to work. The staff are friendly and will work with me if I want to order something not on the menu
Obsessed with their paninis and sandwiches! I eat here at least twice a week after my walks. I like that there’s a sitting area, and it’s always clean and staff are nice.
Staff here are awesome. They also have the best late night snacks on Drexels campus. Conveniently located just past everyone’s favorite 7-11.
Food is Prepared With Nothing But Fresh Crisp Lettuce and Penne and The Service Is With A Smile
Sandwiches are always good and fast. Staff is fine. Most grocery items are expensive but the convenience is great if you live in Powelton since there’s nothing else around.
Not sure why, but this place carries a lot of hard to find gourmet items. It’s especially good for fresh Korean ingredients like kimchi, rice cakes, gochujang. In fact, it’s fresher than HMart and probably the best source for Korean cooking outside of my hometown, Flushing. Also note: black color face masks that are weirdly attractive and slimming, Guayaki herba mate, Joe’s Tea, one gallon Deer Park waters, Justin’s nut butter cups, little artichoke and asparagus snack packs… you could stock up your whole office and pantry with this stuff.
Love grocery shopping at this Old Nelson's it has more of a selection compared to the other nearby stores. Friendly workers and they have some cat/dog food which is great for when I run out as a backup.
Nothing new and amazing here but if you want a sandwich made to order and don't want a more commercial convenience store in the city I highly recommend giving Old Nelson a shot.
Sandwich was small, expensive and the meat seemed dry like it was sitting out for a while.
Staff is lovely. Not everything is cheap but the inventory is brilliant. And if you're in Powelton Village they will save your a$$ if you run out of butter halfway through making a pie. We wish you still carried Spaten beer!
