Omni Shoreham Hotel

This is my favorite hotel in the DC area. I travel globally and this hotel has it all. Great staff; always friendly, professional and helpful. Wonderful rooms; all a bit different and no ‘cookie cutter’ approach. Luxurious linens and towels. Superb food in the restaurant with good service. The Morsels Bar & Lounge is comfy and has excellent service and bartenders. The staff is, for the most part, long-timers who often remember who you are; and the entire staff is wonderfully trained to provide friendly, professional, superb service. Great location near the Metro and in a very nice walking neighborhood; near the National Zoo, too! My only regret is that I don’t travel to Washington, DC more often so I could enjoy the Omni Shoreham more often. This is a great place to stay in DC.

One of the first hotels that I have stayed at in 18 years of my profession that did not feel like a "Conference Hotel". It is elegant. The staff is courteous and extremely efficient and professional. The handsome guest room was spacious, very clean and had enough closet space. The room service is 24/7 and the menu is expansive. The food was excellent.

Beautiful pool and grounds. Very near excellent cafes and Woodley metro stop. Short walk to the zoo. Valet parking $52 but text for near immediate pickup. Restaurant on site but we opted for casual cafe. Very kid friendly with gift bag and nightly milk and cookie. Fridge and coffee in room. As for the 4 star rating, the 2 pillows (only 2?!) on my king bed were flatter than pancakes. And did I mention the $52 Valet fee...

I truly enjoyed my Omni Shoreham Hotel experience. It is a classic hotel in the D.C. area. I am glad they kept the cool old school vibe alive there including Marble floors, Sinatra music, beautiful lobby and outstanding service. I think the location is Great as my son attends a University nearby. The Staff was extremely courteous. It was a convenient location to the areas we wanted to visit. I enjoyed the pool as the temp got to 95 degrees on May 13th! The fitness facility had everything and more that I needed. The location was perfect for my family. I will stay there again.

Worst hotel I've ever had the experience of dealing with. I booked rooms here for my company for a convention. Two of the rooms I booked had the same confirmation number, even though I received two separate emails with different names, so when one of the guests showed up they couldn't find their reservation and he had to book on the spot. Another guest they could not locate their reservation at all, probably because their legal name is a bit different from the name they go by (similar to the difference between going by Matt, but having the full name Matthew) so they had to book them on the spot as well, but then they charged me one night for a no show. I have had to deal with them for the past week to get receipts for all the staff I booked, because none were emailed after the stay ended. Yes, it has taken them a week of calls to get the receipts emailed to me. Every time I call the staff sounds like they don't want to be there, couldn't care less about their job, and are half asleep. There is no friendliness, no effort at customer service. I would not recommend this hotel, or any of their properties to anyone. My warning to anyone considering, avoid the hassle by booking somewhere else.
