Story

Palace Roller Skating Center has been the neighborhood destination for great memories in Philly! Voted “Best Old School Fun” for Best of Philly 2013, Palace Roller Skating Center specializes in skating birthday parties, private parties, group fundraising events, and open skating excitement. We also offer youth classes and skating with characters for kids on weekend mornings! Be sure to check website for a full schedule of skate lessons. We play football on our flatscreens on Sundays and offer a snack bar, arcade, and free WiFi in our sparkling clean, family-friendly facilities.

We have been serving the area communities for decades, and we love seeing many former skaters bring their children and grandchildren to experience the same skating fun they enjoyed in their youth at Palace Roller Skating Center. Best roller skating rink since 1989 since I was 13yrs old. They have great music, okay food, great arcade, jungle gym play area, and skate shop but best of all is their large skating rink!!! Location is okay since it’s on the boulevard and traffic is crazy in general. Parking lot is somewhat ample. Once in awhile when there’s multiple parties going on there is no space. There’s inconsiderate people who make their own parking space. Staff is friendly. Now they make adults sign a waiver for roller skating. Prices are still very reasonable! Food is okay, it’s skate food. Cleanliness is okay. Much better than I was a kid. Music is great because they play an assortment of genres. They have quite a bit of activities to get the kiddies involved and make it more fun for them. They have a pretty good organization of scheduled birthday parties or events. Overall it’s still just as fun as when I was a teen. I’m happy that it’s still open especially after the pandemic.
Cool classic fun. Well decorated with lots do do for smaller kids, such as a play place and a kids casino- I mean arcade! Affordable prices, but they charge you for small extras like play place or balancing gear. Fun birthday party today. Recommended if you like skating
We have visited a number of times for birthday parties. The staff was kind, helpful and friendly. The way birthday parties are setup are always pretty odd. You mix in with other parties and people will stand over you or your table which is odd, but it’s not a huge space. But everyone who skated had a blast and again the staff was great.
Had a birthday party here for my daughter and it was so much fun. My host was amazing, and the staff were super friendly. It was busy there but that's a good thing. I'm glad it's still there and my daughter enjoyed it like I did when I was young. The pizza is awesome but the biggest surprise was the different options they have to eat. I loved the fries, they were so fresh and crispy. We will definitely be back
This place has been around forever! My family has always had a good time. My grandson loves the play area the most. The rink, eating areas, bathrooms are always clean. The staff is always friendly.
It’s claimed now to be BgDaddyRay’s home rink. I love the staff Ann is the 1st person that greets you and my dear always has kind words to me. I feel at home literally when I step on the floor all my problems are gone. Thank you to all the staff / family for always making it a good time . & to everyone at Philly Skate Plex.
We celebrated my daughter's 11th birthday here. Our party host Patrick was THE BEST!!!! He made the entire party experience very smooth and easy. He was very attentive and was always checking up on us to make sure that we were having a good time.
Such a great experience. We celebrated our daughter's birthday, had a party of over 25 people and we were fully accommodated the entire time. The young man assigned to our party took such good care of us. The staff was very welcoming and made us feel like VIP's. If your planning a party or just looking for some fun with the family in a safe and fun environment, the Philly SkatePlex is highly recommended. Thank you guys
I'm an experienced skater, and I can say for sure this place isn't for me. The skate floor is really only open about 2/3 of the time you are there. The rest of the time it's the DJ calling things like the limbo, or gender only skates. It's excessive. The floor here is significantly rougher than most other rinks we have visited. It really needs a good finish coating. Feels like skating on pavement, not like a skate floor should. I didn't see any rules to this effect posted, but one of the refs got onto us for skating backwards. Apparently you can only do that here when the DJ "calls" a backwards skate? What? The birthday parties had spilled out in the main area instead of in rooms, which really cut down the seating for everyone else that wanted a bite to eat or a drink. If you really like to skate, skip it. There are better rinks in the area.
We had a great time we're planning on taking our grandkids to the skateplex every weekend we just want to have to get there early so we can have as much time there as possible. Great time and a great place to bring a family if you looking to enjoy yourself.
