Palmers' staff are the nicest and friendliest around. Every one of the seven or eight service staff there seems to really care about their job and work hard at making an awesome experience.
Special shout to Craig, Shane, and Kathleen for making every trip to Palmers fun and unique.

KARAOKE! My second favorite karaoke bar in the Seattle area. The crowd seems to be middle aged. I’ve been a few times and hear the same songs over and over and over and over again....there’s not much variety from the crowd. However, the drinks are cheap and everyone is super friendly and nice. They always seemed to be understaffed on busy nights and the line to wait for drinks is ridiculous. And for goodness sake put a water cooler out for everyone!! It took me 15 minutes to get a glass of water!

Dive bar in the heart of Redmond, a staple of the night life in this town. Locally famous for the Karaoke. Man you sure get a mixed bag of talent. Of course inebriated people will dance to most anything, I know I have. The bar layout is quirky though and creates weird traffic patterns when trying to order a drink. Always crowded on the weekends, so prepare to wait if you want to sing...

They allowed my dog in which was really cool, but then when the other bouncer started his shift he kicked me out for the dog even though she wasn't causing problems, and many customers and employees were coming up and we're very happy to see her. This double take on the policy is really annoying, and I really don't know how I feel about this place after a change in policy due to when an employee showed up. They should have a clear policy, and the sudden change and kicking me out (after being there with the dog for a few hours) is honestly ridiculous. Had they told me when I came in that I may have to leave if they're busy, it would have been fine. But I had been accepted to come in with my dog, and was able to get comfortable, then suddenly kicked out with no warning because I had a dog.

I went to Palmers a long time ago around the time I turned 21. Ten years later and this place hasn't changed. Somehow it still smells like smoke. The carpets, tables and bathrooms all look pretty much the same. There is a good mix of old-timers and young people doing Karaoke. This isn't my normal type of spot, but its good to know that a dive bar can still exist in Redmond, considering all of the older buildings are getting bulldozed and replaced with Condos.
