This has been a bad trip for rude staff at restaurants, which is odd, since these people depend on the tourist trade for their livelihoods. I suppose they think most won’t come back to NC, so no need to be polite, or maybe it was B-Staff because the season really has not started. The girl working the door got us seated quickly, which was nice, but we got put at a tiny table in between the entry and exit doors for the bathrooms or kitchen area, never figured out which. It was rather funny, just like the scenes in TV shows where people get put in seriously inappropriate seating at restaurant in a comedy. My wife politely asked if we could be seated elsewhere, or even wait for something else to open up and the hostess just flicked, snapping a loud-angry “NO” and walking away. She even slapped the menus she was holding and never gave us to her thigh as she stormed off. We stared at one-another for a moment, and then just left. I’m surely not giving my money to a place that treats me like garbage as soon as I get into the door. No review on their food, as I was not about to order there, but if the rest of the staff is as awful as the hostess, I can imagine we may have well dodged a bullet there. I wish there was a zero or negative stars option.

Great food. Great waiter. Get seafood when you are here. I nearly gave this place a four star review because the air conditioner duct work kept dropping huge drops of condensation onto our table and drinks. Hope they get the insulation fixed... then perfect. Don’t sit under any drop ceiling.

Shrimp and grits were pretty good, but my son's mussels were pathetic. They did offer to take them off the bill, but only after telling me no one else has complained about them (which made me feel like I was being difficult). We've eaten here many times over the last few years and we never know what to expect for the food. They have a really nice play area for the kids, which is definitely a plus. The other came back to get my check and apologized again for the mussels. He was a lot nicer and understanding the second time by. I think the staff tried hard. We may give them another chance this summer. And they allow dogs on the back patio, which is another plus.

Fabulous place. Wish we discovered it earlier in the week. Not only is it the best food in the area, it also gives large portions, so prepare to take some home with you. It also seated and served our family of 6 quickly, and even russelled up some darts for the kids to use with their dartboards during the short wait. I would recommend it if it were in a large city with a lot of other competition. In Avon it’s in a separate class from the rest.

Ok food. Prices are kinda expensive for seafood that didn't have much flavor. Shrimp was overcooked. Won't let you split checks so if you have large party it can be a nuisance. Definitely better places if you want good seafood.
