Listen to me...this place is delicious and has a great vibe. The service is great and the food is absolutely amazing. If you are having doubts because of the few non five start ratings on here just ignore them. Go there and I promise you will have a good meal and a good experience. If you don't, it is probably your own fault. C&S has raised the bar in Raleigh, yet again.

This was the best food I've had in Raleigh! Started with a fresh pea, asparagus and garlic that was delicious. The salad was also expertly prepared and tasty. For main course I had the sea bass and wife the vegetarian gnudie with fresh seasonal veggies. Both outstanding. But another surprise awaited with the side dish of mushroom bread pudding. It was freaking awesome! Try it, if you like mushrooms, you'll live it.

Firstly, the great things about this place. They nail the menu, service and styling. A very trendy industrial styling that caters to a social environment. Their food is executed very well. I appreciate a simple concise menu. The only downside was the seating arrangement but I couldn't imagine doing it any differently with the space they're working with. Overall, this is a fantastic place! The service staff were all very friendly and professional, the food was 👌 and I would certainly visit again.

I had the poached Seabass on a bed of fennel and leeks in a superb broth. Devine!!! Staff very attentive and knowledgeable about their wine and food their sous chef makes the ice cream and desserts which are the best.

We’ve been a a little food tour the past several months spending and pigging out. Yes buck those New Year resolutions! Well not really but we rather eat high quality meals every other weekend than eating average garbage weekly. Without mentioning names we’ve been to some really nice places in Raleigh and I enjoyed the hearty mix of flavors here the most. The space is a little tight and the server adjacent to us had her ass in our face quite often which was weird. Our server was cognizant and approached us sideways or partially as to not give our neighbors his view. That aside everything from appetizers to dessert was great. Laid back atmosphere, great friendly staff. I’ve transitioned to veggies only and they have a squash dish that was filling and rewarding. I left full but not like a glutinous fat pig which in some way was rewarding. The endive salad I believe was a weak point but again an interesting mix of flavors. The chicken dish was enjoyed by my wife and she had nothing but good things to say. Finally dessert was a light affair and had a beautiful mix of flavors. I will come back for sure since the menu changes and try perhaps a heavier appetizer overall a repeat in my book.
