Local 22 Kitchen And Bar

This was my 1st time here and it was just okay. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was good but my waffle was hard and crumbled when I cut it. That was disappointing because it was a basic waffle. How do you over cook a waffle? Lol. The greeters at the door looked irritated and frustrated. The atmosphere given from the decor gives off a nice vibe. Local 22 is nothing to rave about, I might give them another try, but I’m not pressed to when I know I can eat somewhere that will surely be good. I ate here with 2 other people and they seemed to enjoy their food for the most part.

I am a caterer and want to try some of the new rising restaurants around Durham. So, my husband and I decided to check out Local 22. We selected grilled Chicken for lunch. BIG MISTAKE. It was Terribly salty chicken. The only flavor was salt. Then the kicker was that when my husband and I cut into the chicken, bloody fluids ran out. The inner thigh was raw. The server said they used a beer brine. Well, that brine must have been made of only salt, and lots of it. WHO SERVES RAW CHICKEN TO CUSTOMERS? ANS: LOCAL 22

Placed in the midst of a cluster of hotels, this place has a fairly captive audience. Efficient service, good beer, food looked good (I didn't try any). On the expensive side (and my beer was served with a LARGE head of foam).

Great meal but we had to wait awhile due to graduation weekend rush. It would have been great to have more hands for such weekends.

This is a decent little place. They always have good drink selections, which is why we go but they also have some decent food. 2 words- Brussel sprouts.
