Food was of incredible quality and for a fantastic price. Staff was helpful, kind, and very friendly. Already planning the next time we can go. Loved the experience and absolutely would recommend this place to everyone and anyone!

I rarely ever write reviews, being in the food industry as are my parents, and I know how things can be. However, yesterday afternoon was the absolute worst restaurant experience I have ever been exposed to. Walking up to Melt, there's a sign saying to seat yourself. Easy enough, we walk in, find a table in the corner. The bartender was rolling silver, which is usually something you do if you're about to leave or you don't have anything to do. There were only about 4 other tables, 3 of which had food. I've made eye contact with the bartender twice now after sitting for 5 minutes. A waiter finally comes from the back, looks at us, but proceeds to one of his tables with a water glass and then turned back to the kitchen. 10 minutes past. 3 people then walk in and walk straight to the bar . I understand takeout orders are always done at the bar, so I understood why the bartender jumped up to help these people. However, They also then tell him that they want to eat for here and have a few more people coming in. He says that he can seat them, which he does at a high top, which is no more than 2 and a half feet away from us. He tells then their waiter is busy but he can go ahead and get them drinks in the mean time. After he gathers the order, he looks up, looks me dead in the eyes and just turns away. A 15 minute ordeal and we still haven't been helped. I understand working in a restaurant, you aren't responsible for ever table, however, like any workplace, you're supposed to work as a team. Rolling silver is not that important when there is a table that actively hasn't been helped. Even though it appear to have only one waiter in that place, it was not busy in the slightest bit. The bartender shouldn't have looked at us so many times and not helped. I'm offend that he was so aware of us, but he jumped up helped those people as soon as they came in. I don't know if it was a race thing, or an age thing or maybe we just caught them on a bad day. However, My father used to GM many Sullivans and I know proper restaurant etiquette, and you should be ashamed to have this type of staff.

Today, our office, Brassfield Cosmetic and Family Dental Center had our staff lunch there. I can honestly say everything was AMAZING! We called in our order ahead of time and it was completely ready and being plated as we walked in the door. Our waitress was awesome and so on point the entire service. The food was incredible. We will most definitely be regulars of Melt!

The food here is delicious and the staff friendly. But don't expect a real bar...that being in the title plus the term "cocktail specials," are rather misleading because they do not have any liquor to make drinks. They have beer and wine. (Their one cocktail was a mimosa.) Apparently their other location does have a full bar. Still, I got The Melt which is their grilled cheese and it was really tasty. Made with sourdough bread and your choice of 2 cheeses.

Golden Gate location.... Excellent food! Best panini sandwich ever. Very relaxed atmosphere. My new favorite spot.
