West 94th St. Pub

I love this place. It's ecletic, fun, and always an interesting group of people to meet. The food is some of the best in South Durham. Beer selection isn't vast, but they have a few for each type of drinker and usually keep 2-3 craft beer taps. Mixed drinks are inconsistent based on the bartender, and I once got club soda in my old-fashioned, which made me sad. Often the bartenders are overwhelmed and it's hard for them to give good service, which can be frustrating when trying to order food on a busy night. Still, it's the best place for a late night drink and snack or hanging out with friends. Friday karaoke night is a can't-miss. It's a pub in all the best (and worst) ways. Can't help but love it.

If you want a local bar that serves really solid, if not fantastic American style food, this is the place to be. Chicago has these places but the quality and even breadth of the menu is superior, along with a neighborhood bar atmosphere to cheer the local teams on. Has a bit of a cigarette tinge from years past, but we sit in the rear booths or outside and it's a non-factor. Either way - glad it's here and close.

A tiny neighborhood gem with a character. It's a hot spot for locals and regulars. Fast service, unexpectedly good food choices, great beer list, a bit weak but still nice wine choices, and excellent bartenders -- specially if Cory is around, you'll be a happy and a tipsy clam.

For what it is, it doesn't disappoint. I wanted to go to a relaxed pub/bar environment and grab a burger, so I tried it out. Host was very nice and accommodating. I got the Bacon Cheddar burger, and it was an average burger with bacon and cheddar smothered on, it was great. Location is close, and the crowd was quite diverse, so I can easily recommend them to anyone looking for a beer and a burger near Southpoint, but without the suffocating crowds.

Great place. I've never been to a place with a more friendly staff and patrons. I went by myself after a long day and was treated with kindness by every person in the establishment. People invited me to join them at their tables and almost every person tapped me on the shoulder and said "nice to meet you and have a good night" as they left. All around good people. Highly recommended.
