The Northside District

Unique little bar and restaurant. Went for a trivia night a while back, enjoyed the excellent cheese fries and laid-back vibe. Slightly more upscale than a lot of the college-y bars in the area, and a lot less rowdy. Definitely more of a late-20/30s scene, grad students more than fratbois. Very nice patio space out back, too.

Fun bar. Karaoke on Mondays at 10:30 pm, but sign up early or you won't get to sing. Also the food here is surprisingly good, though I usually only get fries to munch on.

Got a pitcher of gaelic ale s plate of mac and g and some scorpion wings with fries. By far some of the best food in town! Price was just right on everything fries were perfect the scorpion sauce was very spicy yet sweet. Mac and g was very good too. Right amount of creamy with plenty of flavor. I would suggest mixing in some scorpion sauce in the mac. Major props to brett!

I've driven by this place many times taking my kids to and from Northside Elementary. Not sure why we never visited before but today we did and the food was excellent! We tried at least half the items on the menu and liked them all. The Northside Fries with chorizo gravy should not be missed. They picked the right item to put their name on!
