Fantastic little meal of tasty meatballs and your choice of side. I went with the beef meatballs, meat sauce, and daily risotto (almost like a corn chowder feel to it, which paired nicely!). Wonderful drink menu of craft cocktails, whiskeys, beers, and wines. Next time I may opt for the hoagie option as a different take. Definitely worth the visit.

Meatball is packed with flavor but the texture and sauce are missing something. Spicy pork meatball is way too dry and the tomato sauce is too spicy for me. Also a bit pricey

This is a funky, warm and fun place to get really good food, drinks and company. Better value than you would expect. After trying one dish, (beef balls with rossoto of the day) we ordered another dinner to go- it was that good! Two places in one; You can get lost leaving the rest room to find yourself in a different place easily! Try this place!

The Meatball Shoppe has become one of our favorite places to eat. The food is always prepared fresh and the daily specials are delicious (try the corn risotto if it’s offered. You won’t regret it!).
There are a lot of different ways to combo up your food through mixing and matching bases with sauces. We can go there every day for a week, get something different each time, and come away happy each time.
I see it mentioned elsewhere, but I’ll chime in: the arugula salad and the mac n’ cheese are to die for.
The atmosphere, particularly at night, creates a rather romantic noire ambience. I love the color, the layout, the lighting, and the art on the walls. It just feels classy and comfortable.
The service is also excellent. They seem to find the kindest people in the Carrboro area to work here. The welcoming attitude makes this place all the more appealing. This is definitely a hidden treasure nestled in the middle of town.
