My boyfriend and I were driving home to Omaha NE from Arkansas, and we stopped in Peculiar MO for gas. My boyfriend is infamous for leaving the keys in the ignition and I am infamous for locking the doors, always! So with that mix we locked the keys in our car! We contacted the Peculiar police department and asked if an officer could help us get back into our car. In no time officer Kirkpatrick was there to save the day and he was so kind about helping! Thank you so much Peculiar PD!

I wanted to say thank you to the police for handling a situation. I walk home from work and there used to be this pack of dogs who would bark at me. Annoying but that's all. One day however there was a different pitt bull in the mix. It came at me twice barking, and not in a friendly way. I was very close to pepper spraying the dog before I finally scared it off. I called the police and they handled it. For over a week I'd say I saw no dogs outside that house. Friday I saw one and of course it came after me, but someone called it in the house. Hopefully that won't happen again. I guess people aren't too worried about the law. It's illegal to have ANY dog not on a chain or leash. Even a chihuahua. And if your dog tries to attack me while I'm walking, it's getting pepper sprayed. It's been too cold to even leave your dogs outside anyway, have a freaking heart. I felt bad for the tiny dogs they had outside, tiny dogs cannot handle the cold. Hopefully these people learned their lesson, if not I'm sure the police will be glad to go over again and tell them their dogs can't just roam free in the neighborhood scaring people. Having a pitt bull come at you full force and barking is not something an innocent person walking home from work should have to deal with.
