Peony Chinese Restaurant

Horrible experience. They didn't give us our appetizer until after the main course (which we had to wait over half an hour for). My silverware had food from the previous customer that used it. My wife's plate had food left on it from the previous customer. Our waitress only gave us one straw even though we asked for two. My wife ordered fried rice but received brown rice. The waitress never returned to our table after taking our order. The food was mediocre. Probably the worst restaurant experience of my life.

Excellent Chinese American food at a reasonable price. Would not expect to find such a neat place like this in little Jefferson, Iowa, but it's actually well made food. It's pretty basic inside. The food, as well as the service, really make it shine though

Good food - friendly atmosphere. Went with friends wedding party without calling ahead for lunch with no problems. Will go back.
