I have been doing business with Performance Bike for 4 years. The service has always been great. I buy a service contract for 2 of my most ridden bikes every 2 years, it is an amazing value. Prices are the best in the city. Every one I have met in the store is an avid bike rider, a few are racers. Scott the Manager remembered my name the second time I came into the store and greets me on every return. The service and repair department is great. They are usually very fast. They go out of the way to make sure that you are satisfied. I recently needed a double tire change on my carbon wheels, Kathy got me right in, and changed them while I waited.
Rows of entry-level and high-end bicycles for the entire family. Great service and selection. Every bike gets a pre-sale maintenance/checkup.
For those of you complaining about the service at this Performance store , please note that there times where the store is pack and only few employees available to assist all customers. Scott manager and all his team is very helpful, but one need to be mindful that when they are busy, they might not get to the customer in their usually polite and helpful manner. I have purchased bikes since 2010 from this particular location and as long I am able to ride my bike, this store will be one to serve it. Please be patience, and make sure you have not other plans ahead when planning to buy a bike. Make sure if fits you and fits all your needs. There is so much to learn about bikes, frames, pedals, tires, etc.
I was returning a bike yesterday in this store but they would not accept it because I lost my receipt. I keep telling them that if they would pull up my account with Performance, it would show them the receipt when I bought the bike because I was just looking at it last week. I had my ID and my Performance card with me. What's the use of giving your customers an online account if you don't want to pull them out? Per Performance Bike's return policy, a product could be returned to any of its retail stores nationwide. Apparently, this store honors this policy only if you don't lose your receipt because they're too lazy to pull up your account. Right after leaving this store, I called the Performance Bike in Marietta/Kennesaw and they were more than happy to help. They even pulled up my account during my call. It was a breeze dealing with them -- I was in and out of the store for no more than 5 minutes.
While their in-store selection for children's bikes may be a little thin, their customer service more than makes up for it and is simply outstanding!! We ordered a bike for my son's birthday through their website, however due to an error on the manufacturer's side it became obvious that the bike probably would not arrive for his birthday. After explaining the situation and importance of it arriving on time to the local store they were determined to make it happen. They even went so far as to absorbing the cost of having the bike shipped overnight directly from the manufacturer to their store and then had it assembled within minutes of it arriving. First class people and service!! Thank you!!!
I went to the place on Saturday. Taken into account that this was a relatively busy day and they had a sale going on. I was in the story for over thirty minutes and no one acknowledged me. I'm assuming I didn't look like a cyclist which I'm not currently but I had every intention on buying a bike this particular day and wanted to purchase it from there. I checked out a few bikes on my mind but I had a couple of questions that I wanted to ask before making my purchase. I've had much better luck at the LBS's in my area.
Recently had a fantastic experience at this shop. Ron greeted me warmly form behind the counter, and helped me find the tube I needed to fix my flat tire. He then handed my off to Kathy, who not only did the repair, but took the time to show me how to do it for myself next time and answer the questions I had. As a small business owner, I really appreciated the way I was treated from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. 5 stars, will definitely return.
Everett Smith is the best! I am new to the cycling world and have visited three local cycle shops before going to Performance Cycles. Everett is by far the most knowledgeable cycle person I have met. He completely answered all my questions and spent well over an hour to thoroughly explain the differences between a various brands and the features on each model. This gave me a much better understanding of what I need to buy. I also realized that based on my new understanding, a few of the other cycle shops were giving me wrong information and steering me towards a model that was a poor/wrong fit for my body type. Hands down Performance cycles is the best! I shopped there prices online and surprisingly, their price for the model bicycle I decided on was $200 cheap in their store then online. There inventory is huge but for the main fact that Everett works there, I would not go anywhere else. You can shop around, but do yourself a favor and stop in and talk to Everett. You will not be disappointed.
Andy, Tim and Steve are very accommodating and knowledgeable about all your bike needs. They did an outstanding job on my fork swap and stem. PB also have a large inventory of new bikes and accessories at very reasonable prices.
Aweful shop. Spent $900 dollars to get 3 bikes tuned up. It took two weeks. When I got them back, none of the rode well. The bikes slipped gears, brakes would not stop well and one of them had a flat tire before I got home. would not refund or repair my bikes. Staff was rode and Jennifer, the manager was not helpful at all. $900 down the drain. I had to take my bike somewhere else for proper repair. DO NOT USE THE BIKE SHOP AT THE I-85 LOCATION. YOU WILL BE SORRY.
