Petco Animal Supplies

As a Handler of working dogs for over 50 years, I know what I want and need to accomplish a vast number of task with my four legged tools. Petco is a pet place, not a working place. There is not even a working dog / service dog area in the store. I recently had to have someone else prepare my service dog to meet with me a bit later in the day. They were rushed and forgot a basic item. I am accustomed to training and teaching my dogs to being very well behaved, I however am also accustomed to the public view of my breed that I work. Could my service dog have met the challenge; Yes. Could the public; No. At some point; one of these super chain pet places needs to step up and recognize that there is a whole other category that needs to be addressed in their stores.

The bald guy that works in the dog food section really knows his stuff. I was looking for dig food and he told me about them. He was very knowledgeable.
