Hello reviewers! If you are looking for an AWESOME bike shop and bike professionals - LOOK no further! I needed a bike donated to a client of mine and found Phoenix Bikes through my "bike people" and boy was I surprised at the friendliness and dedication to helping people in need. The professionalism and knowledge of this group of folks is outstanding!! I got a great bike, with a detachable basket, new helmet and lock for my client! I worked with Leslie and cannot say stop singing her praises! AWESOME team of people at this shop!!! AND the shop is absolutely beautiful! THANK YOU Leslie and Phoenix for serving us bike people and people in need so graciously! Forever grateful! Kelly Cole
Went to this shop back in 2021 to have my bike repaired. Informed them it needed new drive components derailleur, chain and sprocket. A month later my bike was returned, supposedly a tune-up was performed and new chain put on that the bike was tested. Can't make this up, I got on the bike when I got home and the chain literally snapped on the second crank using the pedals. Brought my bike back and waited another month. Was informed the bike couldn't be fixed because it needed a hub that couldn't be found in the US. Still had to pay full price for literally no work being done on the bike. Went to another shop out of state recently and got my bike repaired since I trust them Pedal Pushers in Severna Park, MD and it was back in a week. Without saying anything about my previous experience or diagnosis, they told me I needed my derailleurs, chain and sprocket replaced. When I asked them about the hub and told them someone already looked at the bike and told me this, they told me that doesn't make any sense. The hub was never an issue, the wheel turned and was a standard size with bolt mounts. I've held off making this review because I wanted to confirm my opinion on the matter. Now the other shop has no idea but they confirmed I was lied to and paid for terrible service. I will not recommend people to this shop, have and will continue to tell people to go elsewhere. Find a shop who you can trust and cares for their customers. This one did not.
Bought a used bike here and I have been loving it so far. They even let me test ride all the bikes around the block before choosing. Really friendly employees who know what they're doing! Highly recommend. The only thing is i didn't know where to park so i used the commercial lot across the street and hoped not to get towed.
I got a major repair done for an extremely reasonable price. That's because the shop orders used parts for old bikes on the Internet with customer's approval. I had to wait a couple of weeks for the parts and service, but the wait was worth it. That old '75 Univega is good for a marathon thanks to Phoenix Bikes.
I personally haven’t purchased anything yet from Phoenix but the associates there are nice and super informative. I spoke with Jonathan and he really took the time to go over the questions I was asking and helped me understand bikes better. Thank you for the awesome service and I will be back soon with Gods will!
For sure my new community and goto bike shop. They hooked me up and had me back on the road in under 25 minutes. My bike felt brand new. Thanks!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Went in looking for a road bike and was able to try out several bikes to get a better understanding of the feel. I would definitely recommend coming here for used bikes since the parts and quality of the bike are overall great.
I totally recommend this place. I got my bike fixed in a blink. The staff overthere is super friendly, affordable prices and a high quality jobs. I'm so happy riding my bike now!
I bought my first bike here over 2 years ago and got a good deal. I bought another bike online last year that needed work, but due to new baby couldn't visit. I came today to get the bike serviced and their work and professionalism is great. They have the best prices for service in the DMV area. Their bikes go quick because they prices are so low. A good backup place to purchase would be Old Bike Shop in Arlington. I love that they teach kids to service and build bikes. It's a nonprofit and their mission work is amazing. I'm happy to support them always.
I bought a Retrospec bicycle online and had a hard time putting it together, I called the company, and they suggested that I take my bike to Phoenix bicycles for Assembly, glad I did! Drop off was easy. I got a text message when it was ready, and the gentleman who checked me out helped me load the bicycle to my car. He also made sure that the seat fit my liking and that I was pleased with the assembly. Before my visit, I had called the shop several times to reschedule my appointment, and in each call, they were gracious and kind to me. I took my bike on the road yesterday, and I have no complaints.
