The store itself is pretty well stocked in terms of both bicycles as well as accessories. They deal mainly in Cannondale and Scott. They also have some used bikes. Their store has all the variety of Mountain, Hybrid, Gravel, Road, & Electric Bikes in all types and sizes kids & adults. What makes this store good is the customer service, especially Jerry and Matt were super helpful and knowledgeable.
I was so so happy . I came in with a broken speedometer and needing new shoes. The owner couldn't have been more patient or gracious. The first pair didn't fit. He allowed me to return and kindly I walked out with great shoes. I am avid bicyclist , never written a review but I was compelled to get the word out !
Misleading….. AVOID!!! Took my e-bike there for a tune up. Prior I had discussed with owner that the bike possibly need new brake pads, separate from oil flushing and tune up. He told me the regular tune up would cost $100 and the break pads additional $50. When I picked up the bike, he told me the bike was in good shape, nothing major of course , I only have it for 1year and he didn’t need to change the break pads. They only give it a good clean and flushed the oil of the breaksat least that’s what he told me To my surprise he still charged me $150?? So I asked him why, if nothing was done with break pads. His response” oh, forgot to tell you e-bikes basic tune ups cost$150. That’s lame! I feel not much was done to the bike and there should be more transparency upfront about pricing. This was my 1st time going there and will never go back, especially when I was keen to support local shops, and in return I got misleaded. After reading a few reviews, now I can see the $ sign is more important than customer service ,or at least the effort to run an operation with integrity and customer value. Very disappointing….
Quad Cycle is one of the few bike stores in our area where all the staff treats everyone like a valued customer, even if you didn't buy your bike there. I booked a fitting with Matthew, and he took such great care of me and my new bike. He was unhurried, thoughtful, methodical and knew how to solve any problem. The biggest surprise and delight was he was willing to finish the fitting by taking me out for a ride to watch my geometry and ask me questions about comfort, etc. Totally above and beyond service! I am so grateful! I would not go anywhere else because I know I want great personal service, and Quad Cycle is where a customer gets that.
If you can, avoid this bike shop at all cost - this bike shop owner does not believe in buyers test riding their bikes every shop in MA offer except this shop and just like other reviewers said- the owner is very rude and will brush you off if you start asking them more detailed questions about the bike.
I purchased a mountain bike here today and the level of service and knowledge was great. I planned on purchasing a higher end bike I really didn't need but I was directed towards a bike that really fit my ability and use level and was 25% cheaper than the bike I originally planned on buying. Quad Cycles is trustworthy and I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.
Superb service. I had my bike fitted here and a gentleman named Matt helped me get properly fitted with my bike. They care about the customer being happy with the fit and comfortable on their bikes. They are also mindful of how often you use your bike and are mindful to the additional costs. I would highly recommend this place!
Behind the times and too arrogant to care. Got a "tune up" for my mountain bike. Inexperienced amateurs. More accustomed to low end service. Offered me a refund but played it off like it was the exception not the rule and I don't believe thats true based on the owners cognative distance from his operation and excessive arrogance about being a service guy in his youth for a race team. Behind the times. My wheel fell off on the trail. My dropper was over-tightened would not stay locked and the barrel adjuster was damaged. Derailleur B screw gap was not set correctly leading to ghost shifts on hard climbs. They replaced the Shifter cable despite it being new probably thought he needed more length because he didn't understand "b screw" and didn't put a ferrule on the cable end. Sprayed the chain and derailleur with grease NOT DRY LUBE. Got some lube on my rotors so the pads need replacement. Fine for parts when you're in a jam and don't mind spending a little extra.
The mechanics at this bike shop are very knowledgeable, helpful, and understanding. I went in for service, contemplating an upgrade to a new wheelset and they patiently assisted my through this process, presenting the pros and cons that were encountered as i mulled over making a change Ultimately, I decided to not upgrade but felt no pressure, rather was just presented with future options about what might be possible if I eventually decided to make a change. Great shop, knowledgeable staff, really helpful if you are at a point of indecision.
My experience was a decent experience. Ended up paying a fair amount more than I wanted and seemed a bit overpriced however, I’d still highly recommend this shop. Regardless of being a little over priced, Rustem knows what he’s doing and was very helpful. He stayed late to work on my bike and I dropped by to pick it up far after normal store hours. My particular bike difficulties were caused by poor service at another shop. Had I purchased and been serviced by a shop like Quad Cycles I probably would not have had an issue like my current one they fixed. Rustem knew I was paying a lot and because of an unfortunate purchase at another store. So he offered me a great IPA beer from Lord Hobo after my sticker shock. Good guy.
