Interesting atmosphere inside including the indoor house/porch. The staff were great! Our server was so nice and warm, loved her. I got the Hurricane their signature dish and it was really good – got a little tipsy lol. We both got the sampler dishes and it was okay, probably liked the red beans and jambalaya the most. The night we went I think our first night in NOLA, visiting from Toronto, a fight broke out inside however it was for some great entertainment Security was there and everything was handled, then everyone carried on laughing like nothing happened
The most exquisite food I’ve had in a very long time. I tried the claws from the starters & the charbroiled oysters. The most delicious pasta plate was the crab cake Alfredo - Oh My God! The creamiest, most buttery, cheesy pasta. If you ever come, please try the crab cake pasta! So delicious :P our server, Kathy was the most attentive and helpful. She helped us pick the best items from the menu, knowing we were coming from Atlanta and we wanted to have a delicious dining experience.
Ate here last night with friends. Most of their food was cold, probably because it was waiting a while to be picked up from the kitchen. I didn’t observe a lot of waiters so maybe they were short staffed. I had the chicken and sausage gumbo bowl and corn. It was bland to me. Corn was good. The interior is lovely. The customer service was okay. They offer unique portable chargers that you can rent while ur dining or for a few days. You can keep the charger if you want to spend $55 but you won’t be able to charge it.
This is such a fantastic place! Kick back relax at the bar with a delicious drink and some appetizers or enjoy some comfortable seating in their really cool themed dinning area. Service was spectacular and the food was on the spot! This place was lit and is definitely a repeater!Food: 5/5
I'm not one to leave one-star reviews. However, I went to the bathroom and watched not 1 but 2 employees come in do their business and neglect to wash their hands. Not acceptable. On to the food, we ordered chargrilled oysters, snow crab legs, and jalapeno hush puppies. The oysters were ok, I'm not sure I'm a fan of cooked oysters. It was my first time trying them cooked that way. The snow crab legs were cooked Cajun style, had good flavor, and came with corn and potatoes. The huspuppies were just ok, overly salty but flavorful. As for the atmosphere, we were sat underneath a television that was very loud, and I could not hear my partner. We asked to move to a different table and were sat 1 table over. There were at least 6 employees standing around at any given time. The drink service was slow, considering the place was not very busy.
If you want a great New Orleans meal this spot is right on Bourbon Street. My favorite are the crab claws, the sauce I could bottle and take home. The gumbo, oysters, Gator fritters and crab cakes were also a hit at the table. Service was a little slow so be patient, but the food has great flavor
This was our first time. The wait staff was slow to take our orders for drinks. You can tell their were issues going on with waitstaff and manager. Our food took longer. Overall the food was good.
I am only giving 5 stars for service is because Shanei and the hostess were absolutely amazing! My daughter and I did New Orleans on Halloween weekend and were starving after a cemetery tour. Pier 424 was still serving and the hostess was excited to seat us. Once seated, we waited a long time for our server but Shanei came over from her section and treated us like family. I ordered the shrimp boil and my daughter ordered a fried platter, both plates were extremely full. I, of course, ordered a mint julep with mine! When in the South Our food came out very quickly and was amazing!!! I will definitely go back the next time I visit.
Finally tasted Creole food and it was just awesome. We tasted jambalaya, gumbo and rice and beans. Also snow crab legs at pricey market price $48. Everything was great but the food was served cold and it took a while to get it. It is to be expected with staff shortages now a days. Will definitely be going back to New Orleans again. Also found free road side parking at the corner of Conti St/Decatur St. If you plan to walk and enjoy a beverage buy it from a pizza place rather than a bar You can save a few bucks.
Excellent service comfortable seating with air-conditioning very welcome in humid weather. Had dinner here twice. Good both times. Pretty standard pricing for Bourbon Street our entrées were about $20 each. They charged us a dollar each for bread which was not good and a little irritating. Drinks were reasonably priced, beer was cold. Casual dining.
