The pizza… one of the best! And the burgers are also amazing. Definitely recommend. The ambiance is super nice, cozy, modern, all at once. I went there twice and this will be MY place for good meals and happy days! Recent note: owing photo from my all time favorite pizza, White, but adding the pork fries and the queso and tacos for starters, which were a delightful surprise when I came yesterday!
Really great Fish and Chips with seasoned fries. Loved the cole slaw! Pretzel Sticks were spot on! Willy burger was an excellent choice also for my wife. Our server Kelly was a very friendly host and very helpful on questions about the menu. I highly recommend this place! Patio is awesome with lots of TV'S!Food: 5/5
Planks Bier Garden is a throwback to old school restaurants in German Village. With cold beer and delicious pizza. They also have the best potato skins. The service on the patio could be more attentive.Food: 5/5
We've been enjoying the laid back atmosphere and good service of Planks Bier Garten for many years. Delicious food at a good value - I love the pizza! Thin crust, cheesy, large pepperonis, and a flavorful sauce. Combine that with a good beer or cocktail and you're guaranteed a good time with friends and family.Food: 5/5
I'm a sucker for old school bars with strong drinks and bar food. Great bar menu from nachos, fried food and pizza that will not disappoint. Dan was a great bartender, we appreciate the attention. Downtown columbus bar with a local feel, you can tell its well established.Food: 5/5
The food was really good and honestly really affordable for what you get. It's a seat-yourself style restaurant, which is fine, but there were no signs indicating this. My friend and I had to ask someone if we should seat ourselves, and she said yes. The wait staff was really friendly and impressively quick. They seemed to have a solid beer list but I'm not a beer drinker so don't quote me on that.
The atmosphere was great for a mid day lunch on a Saturday. Not too many people around 3, although it did start to get busy around 4 as we were leaving. The waitress, Abby, was fantastic and super friendly. The food was great, I want to bring back my husband tomorrow so he can try it not because I want to try more things of course lol. We had the saurkraut balls as an appetitzer and everyone loved them. I had a Ruben which was delicious. Two children split a small Hawaiian pizza, which was also good and cheesy. My daughter loved her nachos and my dad loved his German potato salad and sausage.
First time here and it was during a week day and it was not busy, service was right on time and server was very nice food was really good and there was a lot. Love this place. Will go back.Food: 5/5
Firstly I never been here, but I did seen an interaction with a customer and what I’m guessing was the owner outside while I was waiting for the bus. Apparently this customer was most likely homeless with how he was dress came in there got a drink and left without paying. So the owner was yelling at the man to pay his bill. All reasonable. Here’s the thing that caught my ear. The owner told the homeless guy if he didn’t pay then the bartender had to pay for it. That’s not allowed to happen. Your employer isn’t allowed to take money or make you pay for a walk out. Coming from someone that has worked in restaurant and kitchens for 5+ years. that’s isn’t legal. I feel bad for staff that gotta deal with this man.
The food was good, not amazing but I would come back to eat again. The kitchen staff was very nice and came out to clear our table! I gave the service 2 stars however, because our waitress never once checked on us after we received our food, and she didn’t even bring us the check outside, she handed it to us through the window and made my friend get up to get the it. We came for lunch and it wasn’t crowded enough to justify such slow service.
