Pooches Paradise Daycare and Resort

Pooches Paradise used to be the best daycare in town, no exceptions. New management has completely changed the culture though. The new owner would much rather be trendy and exclusive rather than time-tested and inclusive. They recently raised prices significantly and lots of talk that it's going to happen again this summer. They require expensive vaccines for a disease that literally has never even been found in dogs in this area, and only a fraction of the vets in the area even offer it, mostly because there are not long term studies of the efficacy or safety of these inoculations. My friend called in to discuss it with them the other day and the rep very curtly told her that they would rather lose some old clients like her if it would help attract more new clients. Complete and total lack of respect for the history of this company and what it has come to mean to so many of us in this community. I'll never go back there again. #SAD

The people here are nice and the facility is nice. They require a Bordetella shot every six months. My Vet, and my previous Vet before that, prescribe that shot once per year. As a vaccine against a virus, I'm concerned that giving twice as much medication doesn't do twice as much good. In fact, it could make the dog build up an immunity against the vaccine, much like taking autobiotics does in humans. I'd much rather have my Vet write the medical course of action for my dog, rather than Pooches Paradise, who are not Vets or even a Vet techs. So I am having to find a new place.

My puppy loves this place!!! It is like her second home. The ladies in the front spoil her and she eats it up. I've tried 2 other daycare's before coming here and they can NOT compare. My pup gets tons of exercise, which is a need because she's high energy. She also gets attention and an adequate amount of rest in this safe environment. The place is very clean and the staff is very knowledgeable and professional. So if you're thinking of bringing you pup here, go for it!

Our dogs love it here. They love the staff and the staff loves them back.
