Port Arthur Chinese Restaurant

This is my favorite place ever ...like ever ever . They always have the best food. And I love it so much. They are always super friendly and the food comes out fast with great portion sizes .the inside is always kept clean . I always complain to my boyfriend that this place should be more popular. Like this place should be popping . Five star restaurant !!!! Please give this place a chance.

Nice, bright atmosphere. Food was tasty. The steamed dumplings are excellent, home made style with a thin shell, which is my preference. The commercially made dumpling shells are too thick and doughy. Not here! Here they are excellent. I rank Port Arthur one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Newport News area.

The quality of ingredients at port Arthur is always great. Flavor sometimes lacking. Not gonna blow your mind for the price but not gonna make you sick either!

We had the General Tso's Chicken and Mongolian Beef pick 2 house special, with fried rice and a PuPu tray. The food was a little sweet for my taste, the ingredients were definitely high-quality. The chicken skewers were delightful. They tasted of ginger and sesame oil. The chicken wings on the PuPu tray were crispy and hand-breaded. The vegetables were fresh and had a delightful snap to them-- right down to the peas in the fried rice. I would highly recomend this place for a fine dining experience with a low price tag.

Love their food. Best egg drop soup I've ever had. Been going there for 40 years or so since they were located downtown.
