This was my second time dining at Prism, and both visits were exceptional! Daniela, along with the rest of the friendly staff took great care of us. Paired with the elegant ambience and delicious food, our Easter dinner was a special experience. I ordered the berry fusion cocktail, which was fruity and refreshing! We started with the arancini, which I highly recommend. The sweetness from the butternut squash sauce was a delightful surprise and paired perfectly with sage! Oh, and of course you can’t go wrong with their amazing, warm bread to start- we went through 2 baskets, it’s that good! I ordered the lobster pappardelle which had a lucious cream sauce that was full of flavor and there were large chunks of fresh lobster. Our table also ordered a ribeye, and New York strip; both were juicy and tender, and the zip sauce that they came with was melt-in-your-mouth… phenomenal. I highly recommend this wonderful spot to celebrate any special occasion!
I’ve been a regular here for about 3 years now and this used to be my absolute favorite restaurant. The food is also good and still is. However, Over the past few months they have made a bunch of changes that have not been good. They got rid of the best hostess who we looked forward to seeing when we came, got rid of one of there best servers. They changed there bread which I loved to a new bread that was terrible, they got rid of there chocolate chip cake as well. The service not has really gone down hill. Last few times I’ve gone I’ve been there two hours. This never use to happen. Also I know the casino controls the temp but it is freezing in there all the time which makes it unpleasant. The menu is also very small compared to the other steakhouses in the area. I used to get excited to come here but not it’s an after thought. I hope they can fix these issues
In town for a Lions game and planned dinner in advance for after the game. Prism restaurant is on the 3rd floor of the casino at the casino in Greek town. Everything was "as expected" from this fine dinning venue. Atmosphere is upscale, open, and fun. The service was prompt and professional. We started with the wedge salads followed with steaks and all were exceptionally well prepared and delish. As a bonus, Robert Irvine was in the restaurant and stopped at our table for a visit. Highly recommend Prism Steakhouse in Detroits Greektown.
Steak was good, potatoes/gravy, was delicious! The casino wasn’t bad either. The service throughout, was a little slow, but they were super nice and helpful, they could use a few more employees, just to help out.people under that much stress, being so nice; that shows real character! Thank you. Parking: I could only find parking, other than VIP like 10 blocks away.
Came here as an early date night with my husband. I ordered the surf and turf with a Caesar salad. My husband got the filet mignon with a baked potato. We both ordered drinks as well. The food was ok. Not nasty but not that good. I was really disappointed. The service was amazing though. Our waiter was so nice and attentive. Maybe we might give this place a second chance but it was a little disappointing.
The food was delicious. The rick shrimp and mushroom ravioli. They have unlimited snow crab legs on SundayFood: 4/5
Our server Renasia provided fantastic service as our server. She made our 17th Anniversary dinner a memorable one. We will ask for her anytime we go back. Very grateful to have her wait our table. This was our first time at Prism and we absolutely loved the food and wine. Great place for any occasion and highly recommend it to anybody trying to find a good place for a nice dinner Downtown Detroit.
Went for date night… Loved our waitress, she was very helpful, the set up was romantic, and clean. Loved the small private booths. My steak was between rare and medium, when I originally ordered medium well a touch of pink. Waited 15min. For our waitress to return to tell her it was prepared wrong, I definitely enjoyed the view of my date enjoying his lamb chops and gulf shrimp AMAZING. By the time my steak came back it was well and the ends were still bloody. My date finished his food . So I enjoyed the half of steak he ate the rest and finally enjoyed the cold potatoes and broccolini. Fresh/hot sides would’ve been a great accommodation from our server. Tired of restaurants offering meat preparations and end up with raw or well done tough and if you send it back again then you end up being viewed as wanting a free meal, no I just want a touch of pink and enjoy my date, but that failed. Definitely went to Wendy’s later.
It's a nice place and the staff were friendly but it wasn't what I expected either. We ordered sides that never arrived but we also weren't charged for them. However, my filet was overcooked by quite a bit and I really had to saw through it. That being said it still tasted good and the cocktails were delicious.Food: 3/5
We came here for a work dinner.. We put our orders in at about 7:45 and it was 9:15 when we got our main course.. we were a large party I get it , but that was definitely too long of a wait. And the food was barely warm once we received it..Food: 2/5
