Providence VA Medical Center

I absolutely adore my doctors here. They've saved my life many times over. Mental health is top notch. My doctors are always a phone call away and I can get appointments with ease. I've never felt more supported by my doctors than I do here. From the women's clinic to the er and surgical I've pretty much seen them all and God bless you guys for being so awesome to us veterans.

Dr. Keith Fragoza YOU REALLY NEED TO READ THIS REVIEW! NO GOOD DOCTOR In the Providence Pain Clinic My experience with this doctor was anything but compassionate, in fact it was darn right IGNORANT! As my primary physician had made an appointment for me with the providence VA pain clinic for lower back issues. At first, I saw the nurse practitioner Sue Bridges who suggested I try Gabapentin which is a non-narcotic pain med. She also made a 30 day follow up appointment to see if it was working for me. After the 30 days I went back to the providence VA pain clinic. I then told Sue Bridges that it was not helping with the pain, she then recommended I try the injections into my lower back and see if they will work. I said fine and asked if the don't work will they make matters worse? She said I don't know let’s ask a doctor. She then called this doctor into the room which was Keith Fragoza, so I asked him the same question if the injections don't help will they make matters worse? He said NO! they will either help or not. Then he asked me to stand up and bend back as far as I could, when I was at the point which I could no longer bend back any further on my own Mr. Fragoza who was standing behind me put both hands on my shoulders and pulled me back even further then walked out of the examining room as if it were on fire. I went into shock I could not believe what this doctor had just done to me. At first there was no initial pain However @ a half hour later when i was home the pain was unbearable I had pain on the right side of my neck radiating down to my shoulder blade and into my right arm and it felt like someone was constantly breaking my forearm. This Doctor over extended my back and caused 4 discs to slip into my spine and block my spinal fluid from passing thru my spinal canal. Because of this I had to undergo major surgery in my neck. I hate this doctor because of what he did to me. So I ask you, what doctor in their right mind would treat a patient with a bad back by over extending it? How ignorant do you have to be. I believe this Doctor knows exactly what he did to me, and how he hurt me even more, and never ever had the decency to at least apologize to me for his ignorance. This Doctor is NO GOOD! DO NOT LET HIM TOUCH YOU!

The case workers here are a joke. They do not do anything but go shopping on their lunch break. These people don't care about veterans. The case workers make almost 80 k per year and do nothing.

Do your research on the doctor that is treating you. There are very good ones within Providence VA, however, there are some who will modify their treatment based on personal biases.
