Chris is awesome. He is very helpful when explaining the issues with your vehicle. The mechanics are very thorough. I have been a customer for less than a year but this will be my shop to bring all of my vehicles. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pugh's Garage for your car repairs/services.
New go-to garage! I was a walk-in and they were able to squeeze me in same-day, which was great since I needed a lot done unexpectedly. They were quick, efficient, and their online portal was super easy to approve or decline proposed work on my vehicle. Everything was done by end of day and I’ll definitely be coming back! Thanks to Chris and Ed for your help!Services: Exhaust
Chris and the team at Pugh's Garage have been outstanding with my car service. From the beginning Chris was very honest about the needs of my Kia Optima and patient with the challenges that I face in getting it repaired. He has been in constant communication with me from the beginning and upfront with the work estimates and patient with the length of time it's taken me to get service completed. I had a bout with Covid and other outside factors that caused me to delay the process but at no point did Chris try to rush me and was helpful in every way. I really admire that in a service garage and Pugh's Garage will be my first choice for any automotive repair needs. I highly recommend anyone to bring their vehicle to this shop. Thank you Chris!Services: Oil change
Anyone looking for a Maryland vehicle safety inspection in the College Park area should stop by this location. Pugh's is an honest place with knowledgeable and customer-friendly staff. My appointment was at 9.30 am, and I received an email from the MVA system around 1 pm informing me that my car had passed the inspection. The next day, I registered my car through the MVA system. This was my first time using them and I will definitely use them again.Services: Oil change
Pugh’s has been my go-to since moving to College Park, and I’ve brought in 2 of my own cars and 1 relative’s car for service. Their service is exactly what you’d hope for in a local auto service shop - knowledgable, friendly reasonably priced, and most importantly HONEST. They are not a glossy dealership showroom that tries to upsell you on work that’s not needed, and if you come in with a 20-year-old car, they have the common sense to give you different options to fit your budget. They are also patient and informative whenever I pester them with questions as I’ve been learning to do some of my own work on my cars. Highly recommended!Services: Air conditioning
Fantastic service, took care of us without a hitch and speedy. Any vehicle troubles I trust them to fix for a fair price :
I did oil change at Pugh’s Garage and very pleased with the time it took to get the job done and friendliness of the staff.Service: General repairs & maintenance
My car’s check engine light was on on the 4th of July and I quickly contacted Ed Hilton, the owner of Pugh’s Garage. He called me back the first thing in the morning the next day. On the same day, the technician did electronic testing and replaced mass air flow sensor, reset PCM and retest system. I am very happy with the work they did and would highly recommend Pugh’s Garage for their speedy car repair and great customer service!!!Services: Wheel alignment
I’ve had a terrible experience with Pugh’s. I brought my Dodge into them 2 times and they kept missing things. First time I brought the car in for an issue with the battery; later the day I came to pick it up, the car again wouldn’t start. Got it towed back to them and they repaired what they’d missed for free, but mentioned I had a coolant leak why they didn’t address that the first time is beyond me and needed that repaired. I brought it back a few days later after a check engine light came on, which was an evap leak, to repair that and the coolant leak. They had my car for over a week and could not find the leak, and failed to keep me up to date on the status of their testing; I had to call frequently and kept being given a runaround - the car hadn’t been looked at yet, they were in the process of testing, for three days in a row. Finally after 2 weeks they told me their mechanic working on my car was out sick with COVID and I could bring it back the following week…I had to CALL for this info, which meant I couldn’t get it into a new mechanic till the following day. They also replaced my radiator and told me that would fix the coolant leak; it did not, and now I’m out $800 with more issues to address. My mistake for trusting and not being more skeptical of their suggestion to replace the radiator. I finally took it to a legitimate mechanic - Old Ox in Alexandria - and they found 5 issues Pugh’s never mentioned, and they’re fixing the coolant leak Pugh’s ignored. I really did not find the service to be attentive and every time I called it was like I was annoying them. I regret coming here and wish after the first incomplete repair they did I hadn’t come back.
I when to pubgh garage with my bmw they gave me estimate, I thought the estimate was toomuch, I decided to trying another garage, what the gave me as their estimate was two time than what Pugh's garage gave me. The follow morning I called Pugh's garage and told them I will brin back my car for repaired for the amount they gave me. They don't over price the customers.
