Rapid City Medical Center

I saw Dr.Bergstrom and he also did my surgery. Him and his nurse where very polite even when my toddler was crying. They are very understanding and very helpful.

I was referred to the MN street location, and I'm extremely disappointed in the service I have received. Dr. Van Egeraat's nurse was rude since day 1. I do not feel advocated for as a patient, and I do not feel I was helped or fully informed with the care I received. If I knew all of the questions I should ask, I would- but that's why I go to the doctor- because I'm looking for help, guidance, and support. I've had to follow up on issues numerous times myself, as things seem to fall through the cracks. I will be looking for new primary care and a medical staff that care about my well-being.

I absolutely loved the doctor and her nurse that I saw here for a number of years. However, after my method of payment bounced one time within a month of receiving a bill they sent my bill to a debt collection company. I have never had an issue paying and the bounced payment was my fault; however, I find it dramatic to send me to a debt collection company for a few dollars that bounced one time in a very short period of time after receiving the bill. So, I paid the debt collector an outrageous amount, and 2 weeks later, I received another bill from the Rapid City Medical Center. I called to ask why and they just said they hadn't received payment from the debt company yet. Seems like they should be requesting money from the debt company since they made me pay them. Overall, this has been a very frustrating ordeal. Unfortunately, I will have to receive my health care elsewhere after going through this much over a few dollars.

Quality work as far as I can tell, but be prepared to be charged for hidden fees and costs even if you ask for a complete cost breakdown before a procedure is done. Very frustrating. Billing department will tell you that they can't do anything and that you are simply wrong.

Had a hearing test completed for my son, I then called four times to get results with no response from the doctor. They sent us two bills and still no results. I paid the bill and told billings that I would be filing a complaint. Finally I was able to talk to a nurse who read back the doctors notes but the doctor still wouldn't talk to me. I'm disappointed that they don't have better people skills. Their billing dept makes sure they keep contact even if the doctor doesn't perform.
