We are a group of Cherokee women from Oklahoma on a tour of significant sites where events that led to the Trail of Tears happened. Our guide, the park manager, was most impressive in her knowledge of our ancestors. She and others were very respectful in honoring what we hold dear. A wonderful experience.

Red Clay is a wonderful historical state park that offers hiking, grill-outs, historically accurate cabins, and much more! This location also offers multiple large fields for football and picnics. One cool attraction here is the Blue Hole which is simply a natural spring with a captivating blue color. Definitely recommend this place, but the drive there may be extensive.

This step back in time was a visit I won't soon forget. The drive in alone is worth the trip. This was a great learning experience for the whole family. I hope to come back again real soon.

A beautiful, amazing place. Overflowing with rich history going back many generations. This park is home to much that is sacred to the Cherokee people and is well worth taking time to experience it.

I grew up here. I lived on Red Clay Road. I could walk through my back yard and be in the park. It's a very peaceful place. Lots of history.
