Great outdoor store in downtown Boston. Awesome selection of hiking, biking, and boating supplies and a huge selection of clothing. Parking is $10 with validation.
I was looking for new boots and the staff was very friendly. They asked if I needed help and had good recommendations. Staff at register was nice too. Definitely take the T or walk. There is no parking.
Worse place ever do not even think to biy anything from them. They will try to sell you a membership and say they give you bonus card but they will miss to say it expires. They have zero customer service. I paid 90$ for shoes that would cost 50$ and did not even have money for this expense. I explained my concerns to the workers but she still managed to extract me 90$. Unethical pieces of animals.
I am absolutely disgusted with the management and staff of this store. Several staff members recently petitioned to have a DISABLED MILITARY VETERAN FIRED from this store location because they were UNCOMFORTABLE with his DISABILITY. Rather than supervisors having a conversation with all staff to address the solution they took the easy way out and fired him. This location is currently under investigation by Disability Rights Massachusetts. Please boycott.
This was a great REI, and the people who work there do a great job, but the parking lot was closed for construction and the streets nearby are always full so it is now essentially impossible to park. This is a pity, as we now have to go to a different location.
If you are an outdoor person you'll go crazy when you enter the store. They have all the equipment for hiking, camping, backpacking, cycling etc. You name it they have it. I went for a session on backcountry camping an learned a good deal of information. It's very hard to resist not to buy anything when you see the goodies. Recommend for any outdoor person. The prices are not cheap so does the quality. But you get what you pay for. Check it out if you want to have your first campaign trip or backpacking trip.
Mostly good experiences but they've had trouble this winter with staying open Closed early 2 weeks in a row when I needed my snowboard waxed for the next day. If I'm able to make the long drive to them with no issue, then I don't think the weather's that bad where they need to close.
Always fun to look and shop at REI. This location is perfect with a food court on steroids right next door. The layout is weird compared to other REIs... you can still find things but it feels disjointed.
Great store but you have to get the building to rid of the parking attendant outside. Had to quickly drop off daughter to get a sensor removed which was left on and he was scary abusive and upsetting.
This site seems smaller than a normal store, though still well stocked. Two stars though since this location is in a building with $10 validated parking. REI could've done better. If you don't mind the parking or can walk there, it's not bad.
