The staff is amazing!! From the moment we walked in, we felt pampered. We actually checked in at 10 am, we weren’t told to come back at 3 pm for usual check in. The room was nice, large flat screen, pillows were feathery and nice mattress…. I cant say enough about the staff. Jillian at the front desk answered all of my questions about being in NOLA for the first time and directed us to ACME. Charles in the bar, informed us of the Happy hour prices and gave us a sample of the amazing oysters. The happy hour prices here are the best in the city. $1. Per raw oyster and 19 crimes red wine only $3!! Needless to say, we took advantage of these discounted prices. We were greeted with a smile by the staff, daily. We will return and highly recommend this hotel as they go out of their way to exceed expectations!!
Remember to use Hoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your place. They compare countless booking websites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :! This place is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you decide to stay here you won't be let down. Lovely hotel and a good service, kind you would expect from such a place. Rooms are clean and spacious, however I haven't noticed anything "special" about the rooms. Well pretty good for the business trip. And the hotel location and amenities makes it a good choice for the weekend with spouse or friend
Rooms were nice and were clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice hotel and walking distance to everything. Only complaint is the restaurant. The food was not bad, but the service was awful. Had to ask to be waited on and ask for more water. Second time was Thanksgiving dinner that was a special. For something that we figured would already be prepared it took 45 minutes before we even got the salad. Would stay at the hotel again but not go to the restaurant.
Me and my partner got the queen-sized bedroom and it was super tiny, but comfortable enough. The queen bed literally took up the whole room, so the desk is very small too, though they had a Herman Miller chair which is nice! The bathroom was neat and pretty space-efficient. No fridge or kitchen items. The view was fine. The only annoying thing is that there was an outdoor? bell that rang every 15 minutes, but I luckily slept through it.
Stayed at this hotel for a few days for a weekend conference and was a great decision. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was big and clean and nothing to complain about. We were staying near the top floor and by the elevator there is a door/window facing out to the city and you can see a fantastic view of the city. The valet parking was a very fast. Would recommend staying at this hotel if you are visiting New Orleans.
There was no hot water and staff was aware, i was told to leave shower on for 5 minutes. I left it on for over 20 minutes. Made repeated calls from room phone and no one picked up, i had to use my cell and after 3 calls someone finally came to check. The technician was very courteous, different from front staff but he couldn’t do anything about it. Just a stall tactic, said it will be fixed in the morning. Wake up in the morning to same issue so decide to checkout and i was charged full $400 room rate plus early departure, they took off the early departure charge later. I would have received a better service going for a $30 a night hotel. This is a sham Renaissance hotel.
Quick two day trip… Hotel lobby is beautiful, and beds are comfortable. We stayed on the 16th floor and our room always stayed a little humid, but I guess that’s to be expected this time of year. My boyfriend noticed a faint mildew smell, however I did not. Overall our stay was wonderful! Staff was friendly and the location was ideal for us.
Overall it’s a decent hotel. The staff is very nice and very professional. The only thing I am not a big fan of is there is no full length mirror in the room and the shower stall could use a refresh as far as the grout and the caulking is kind of worn and dirty looking in places. Obviously those are minor complaints and overall I would say that it’s a nice hotel and I would stay here again. But get a full length mirror people- come on!
Lobby staff very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was obviously older but had been refreshed with a beautiful lobby and renovated rooms.Food in the hotel restaurant was average and not the exceptional quality that New Orleans cuisine is famous for. A very quirky thing in our room which could not be fixed by staff was very hot water from the cold water faucets of the sink and shower and even hotter from the hot water faucets. There was even hot water in the toilet! Nearly uncomfortably hot showers were the ONLY option in that bathroom. We won’t stay there again.
When I tell you Charlie the bartender at the lobby bar makes an amazing drink, he had our group wavy!!! Thank me later! LOL He is so knowledgeable about the local area, he shared many restaurant and club options with our group. Ms. Lorraine was very instrumental in assisting our group with scheduling a second line band, which was an amazing experience for my 55th Birthday! Ms. Brittany and her front desk team made sure our group of 30 people were well taken care of!!! I can't thank her enough for assisting in making our stay an amazing, fun and comfortable experience. Great location! The rooms were nice and very clean. I always wipe down hotel rooms with Lysol wipes, but I tell you there was not one spec of dust to be found on the wipe when I wiped down. The food at the restaurant was good. We hung out at the lobby bar often. Charlie the bartender even pulled out a speaker and played music for us!
