We ran into some complications with my lease the morning I was supposed to move in. I'm not the most technologically intuitive person and the online lease was tedious to navigate for me. Jeremy could tell that I was becoming anxious about coming across these obstacles so far along in the process. He made sure I didn't feel rushed and assured me that we could get it worked out so that I could move in as scheduled. Jeremy worked diligently adjusting my lease at the last minute so that all of my needs were met. Robin was ready to answer any questions I had patiently and thoughtfully- before and after I moved in. Both Robin and Jeremy really made me feel like they were just as invested in my move as I was.
I moved into renew sometime last year, pretty cool spot, but the management could have been sooooo much better, I would call and they would have to call another day, just to never call me back ever. it would take me a whole week to ever get to anyone. I even left emails and still had no one follow up with me. they overcharged us one time for rent with no explanation as to why, obviously we paid, because although they had no follow up as to why, we weren't going to get in trouble over that rent. overall place is somewhat nice, but they're management was not good, and the rent isn't so much worth it either, but that's not their fault. I would recommend other places for probably better pricing.
I absolutely adore living at ReNew Wichita. I have lived in NYC, Los Angeles, and Hawaii, all amazing locations. And yet, ReNew is by far my favorite housing experience. Kim, Whitney, and Michael in the office are awesome. They are very warm, attentive, and professional. They respond super quickly to any requests or questions. Jim, the head of Maintenance, is also super friendly and very skilled. The apartment is beautiful, clean, classy and in a really lovely part of Wichita. In 10 minutes, I can walk to the river and be in nature, and I am in within walking distance to the juice bar and coffee shops. I didn't think I would stay in Wichita for very long, but ReNew is causing me to rethink this!
LIVING HERE IS A SCAM. I was double-billed for parking for months, which then also took months to resolve. Getting anything from management at all seemed to take months. The dog area is disgusting. We started just going around the block to some grass nearby, that way I could stand to be there for more than 12 seconds before being overwhelmed by the ammonia smell. When I moved out, I got nothing back and am still fighting with them almost a year and a half later over fifty dollars they're saying I owe them for...reasons. Never actually been told why. These people are going to do all they can to take advantage of you. I suspect they know most of their residents are fresh out of college and they use that naivety to their advantage. It's disgusting. If you want to live downtown Wichita, GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!
If you are looking to rent a place for only a few days, AVOID this place at all costs. I’ve had so many issues with booking here I can’t even list them all, but here are a few: 1. You need pickup the key from a location other than where you are staying. 2. In my room, the WiFi doesn’t work. This also means the TV doesn’t work at all. 3. I booked this place with idea I’d be able to check in at a reasonable hour. Not so. 4. Although I booked through Priceline, I needed to pay separately. It was priced $79 online, but then they added an extra $100 for “facilities”. I assume this means the gym, but they do not provide instructions on where the gym is. They also added an extra $250 for a deposit. 5. The carpets are stained in the hallway and the floors in the rooms are cheap laminate. 6. After booking, they then tell make you complete a registration with personal details you would not normally provide. 7. It took them three separate attempts to charge my card before they got it right. This process took TWO hours and the whole time the woman - who was challenged with the English language - simply entered the wrong number. I could go on… in short, don’t go here!
According to management, all the fault is placed on the tenant. The billing system is unclear, and I had to pay for utilities past my lease. Why would anyone ever pay bills for a place they don't live at?! There are much better places to live at for cheaper. Please do not fall for this trap when looking for a downtown apartment!
Terrible experience... walked out to put my trash out and the door locked behind me and instead of having maintenance unlock the door they told me call a locksmith because they don't do lockouts after hours! Trash pickup days Monday and Thursday 8am. The trash from Monday is still there... rent is ridiculous and for all the money I spend I have a leaking ceiling, sinks that don't drain just all around Terrible service. Very unprofessional. Unpleasant
I have really enjoyed being downtown living at ReNew Apartments, as the vibe has been awesome and friendly. I have liked the convinces of the location. The amenities are great as well with having friends & family over. My one bedroom apartment is clean, modern & cozy. My puppy, Hope has enjoyed the dog park and Sky lounge dog friendly If looking for downtown lifestyle I would recomend to swing by and take a look!! The staff and maintenance have been awesome!! 2019 is going to be Awesome! Levon Wilson
Residents have to submit maintenance requests to repair property due to lack of routine upkeep. Lack of repairs blamed on people turnover and no effort made to supplement with local contract maintenance to maintain building. Here are just a very few issues: - Took over 3 days to fix elevator - All 4 light fixtures in mail room completely out for approx 1 week … this was finally fixed - door lock into building still not repaired after 1+ month. Residents putting tape on lock, propping open with cardboard, rugs etc to access building which leaves facility un-secured.
I thought it was a nice place to live at first. The interior is good, the other residents were nice. The only things that I was not a fan of is the fact that on TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS, someone opened up my door in the middle of the night while I was sleeping which was pretty frightening. The reason for this is because there is a sister building across the street and what I was told by the staff was that both buildings have matching keys to the matching apartments. So Apt. 100 in both buildings have the same keys so you could go in either. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE UNTIL THEY GET THIS FIXED! Other than that, it was just small maintenance things that were fixed in a couple days time. Oh and I heard the entire maintenance staff quit and they had to rehire but that was from another resident who know one of the maintenance workers. And I have noticed that there are certain residents that do not know how to clean up after their dogs... in the elevator, hallways, etc.
