Pulled in today on my motorcycle with teenage son on back. We wanted to checkout this shop and talk about an idea I have for a classic car I own.
Apparently one needs to tread lightly on first visit because a lot of people cut through their parking lot. I made the mistake of looking at a very nice early 50s F100 there on the lot rather than just parking and walking in.
A guy who looks just like Poncharelli’s partner on CHiPs started whistling at me and said HEY this isn’t a road !
Initially I had no idea what he was taking about then realized he had mistaken me for someone abusing use of his parking area.
Very clean and organized business from what I could see before being chased away.
Probably does good work.
I see the owner posted an explanation so I’ll give it a four star.

Showroom so clean you could eat off the floor. Transitioning to the shop shows that the janitor spends just as much time there. Unbelievably clean workspaces. Brent and the crew were all extremely professional, and the power upgrades they installed on my 2017 mustang gt worked great. This place is like all the awesome restoration shops you see on TV, but without all the arrogant and tattoed jerks strutting around acting like prima Donna's. Their phone number is now in my phone contact list and they will be getting all my mechanic business that I can't do myself.

Brent and his team at Restoration Rods has been servicing my daily drivers, DIY pickup, and classic muscle car for well over a decade. Every time I bring one of them in for regular maintenance or a more serious issue I receive an accurate, honest analysis of what they are going to do and if there is a problem what is most likely causing it and the options that are available to me to resolve it. Nobody ever tries to tell me my battery needs to be replaced when it doesn’t, or that I need a transmission flush when I don’t, or I need to have my flux capacitor recalibrated like they do at all the chain tire stores.
One of Restoration Rods’ specialties is performance engineering. When you walk into their customer consignment sales showroom and look through the observation windows into the shop you will see things like a dual turbocharger kit being installed on a Hellcat, superchargers being installed on Mustangs, suspensions being tuned on auto-cross Porches, or a Meridian Speedway sprint car running on the chassis dyno sprinkled inbetween with RAV4’s, F150’s, and Tahoes.
About 10 years ago I showed up at Brent’s and gave him a 45 year old Hilborn stack injection manifold, a box with a ECU and some cables in it, and my 360 Cuda and told him that I wanted to drive this combo on the street as well as race it at Firebird Raceway. This combo has never been done before anywhere so there were no instructions or similar vehicle to reference. Long story short, Brent and his team engineered the manifold and engine to work together, programmed and tuned the ECU software, and not only does it drive easily on the street it has won me 4 track championships, 3 NHRA Wallys, and over 50 individual class wins at Firebird. I give Brent and his team Grade A.

The staff at Restoration Rods was great. They got our car problem fixed in record time and under budget. I appreciated that they did not try to "upsell" me on any additional work that wasn't necessary. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family and will continue to take my car there for future repairs.
