Prob one of my favorite places to hike. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the mosquitos. Unbelievable amounts of mosquitoes here than anywhere else I've hiked. Very annoying. Don't come here without long sleeves/pants and mosquito spray.

Well marked trails if you read the map at the parking area, and follow the colored markings. Best time to go is in the fall or early spring. The summer was way to buggy.

Wear bug repellent. I keep waiting for the day that I will hear the sound of the blow hole or devil's hole or whatever it's called. It hasn't happened. However, I still love the park. It has well maintained trails for walking for mountain biking. There's a canoe campsite. The terrain is very unique. There's a nice view, complete with a bench. It's a nice park whether you call it the Blow Hole or River Highlands State Park. UPDATE 2017! I have heard the blowhole and it is indeed eerie.
