River View Cemetery

At the beautifully manicured and well-maintained hillside cemetery overlooking the Willamette River, you can explore the final resting place for many of Portland's early prominent leaders. You will find Virgil Earp who survived the 1881 gunfight in Tombstone, Arizona, without a scratch, and Henry Weinhard who learned the beer business from others before establishing one of the first Oregon breweries in what is now the Pearl District. You'll also find Abigail Duniway, the first woman to register to vote in Multnomah County. There are more stories to explore on the website, and the staff is friendly and helpful in locating the grave sites for you.

Great bike training route. Practice the tight turns going down and challenging incline coming up. Connect to Terwilliger at the top and the Sellwood bridge at the bottom.

This is a lovely place to feel the peace that comes from all these loved ones in one place. They have friendly staff and great funeral directors.

This is the best cemetery in town. So much history, it's so well kept, the trees are ancient and huge. Just a wonderful place to be.
