So many nice places to stroll along the river in the Eugene/Springfield area! And great bike paths too. For a good map of the Eugene side, Google for the "Ruth Bascom Riverbank Path System" and for the Springfield side check out the "Middle Fork Path".

What would provide a nice reprieve from a hot day. Instead is a river polluted by overflowing sewage from water treatment plant and farm run off. What a shame.

Great river, not much water traffic down in the Marion county area. Not as popular in the summer as some of the other rivers in the area like the Mollala river. Been doing to the Willamette regularly since I was a kid.
