Store is neat and clean. Staff is helpful. Even participated in getting on the treadmill and getting a free assessment of my running pattern. Pretty neat to see how your foot lands. Was recommended several different pairs of shoes. Didn’t purchase the insoles but felt I made a good purchase for running. If you sign up for their VIP then it offers additional benefits and even exchanges which my wife enjoys.

Really!? I'm guessing they will be closed within a year so don't plan on member benefits or returns. Retail stores exists for customers to get expert advice and try the product. Without that we just take the lowest bidder online. They clearly have a corporate culture problem, not an individual employee problem, although the salesman helping me was rude to everyone he "helped" and cursed at them under his breath. Not really my preferred shoe shopping experience. I shop here once or twice a year for shoes and occasionally cloths. I always liked their connection to runs and friendly culture. They would ring a bell when you became a member, and greet you...setting the bar high, right. This time was different. First, I was billed online for an annual membership. That was new. I usually don't sign up for auto payments without authorization. It was $28 for the year. Let's put that in perspective. They give you 10% off, which is the same REI gives you for a $25 one time lifetime membership. Once in the store, I was not greeted. No one was fun or happy. I felt like more of a inconvenience than a runner being supported by a company that built their business on engaging with runners and getting them to spend their hard earned money. The salesman did not explain much, did not offer advice, and basically had me trying to make him feel important. He was helping 3 groups of customers, which wouldn't work for the best customer service person, but went downhill fast with someone that just seemed not to care. In the end, I found shoes I wanted to buy. Asked the salesman about removing the annual charge and was directed online and to an 800 number after being told I knew what I was signing up for. Trust me, I had no idea. Bottom line, I won't be back, even for packet pickup if they do still support runs. UPDATE: turns out I had to go back because they gave me the wrong shoes. The sales associate was very helpful and apologetic. They threw in a pack of socks for the trouble, without me asking for anything. I still hold to my original review.

I purchased some shoes on 3/17/18 from their tent sale out front their store. The shoes did not feel right after I used them, and I took them back. My receipt reads that I can refund these items and that I was within my return policy. When I got to the store, I was told that because the shoes were apart of a "tent sale" and they had signs posted, NO REFUND. My problem was that not offered store credit, there was nothing they offered to accommodate me. The receipt did not read "ALL SALES FINAL." The store manager was more interested in winning the argument than the customer. I will never shop there again, and anyone that I speak to about Road Runner Sports, I will discourage from ever shopping there.

They are all very nice & helpful however it feel impersonal when you have to sit in a small square with 3 other people and one associate. 2-1 ration seems more appropriate.

What a joke. Store had a tent sale. The shoes they were attempting to sell for $70 plus were used. Not only used, but heavily used with some having mud still on the soles, and on the uppers. Savers and goodwill have better used shoes for a far better price. Disgusting, absolutely disgusting.
