Robert Browning

I enjoyed living at the Robert Browning! The building had a historic charm to it, and location was great. Plaza is a desirable location to be in, but it's also a short drive from downtown/power and light. Building was well-maintained and clean, and any time I had an issue Jodi responded promptly and was able to help me find a solution immediately. Studios were a good size and also had a full kitchen which is rare to find in KC for a 400 sq. ft. studio. My only complaint is the walls are a little thin, but that's what comes with an older building and whether that's a concern or not would depend on your neighbors. I really enjoyed my time staying in this building and if I was staying in the area I would have continued my stay at the Robert Browning!

I lived in this apartment for about 4 years. I absolutely loved it! The location is fantastic. You're a short walk to the heart of the plaza, but far enough away that the loud noises will bother you. Management is incredibly helpful and communicative if issues ever arise. The prices for units is also reasonable for a plaza apartment.

Loved my two years living here! Jodi and David are excellent managers. Very professional, thoughtful, and attentive. The building was always clean and I felt well taken care of as a tenant. Never had a problem with pests/bugs and if anything went wrong in my unit, they were quick to get it fixed. Good building culture of very kind and courteous tenants, as well. Location is awesome - loved the freedom of walking to grab coffee, food, or shop around. Plus close to Loose Park and so many beautiful KC neighborhoods!

I had a great experience living at the Robert Browning Apartments for 1 year. I loved the historic charm of the building, paired with the comfort and style of updated amenities. The location is wonderful and within walking distance to the many bars, restaurants, and shops that the plaza has to offer. The management are kind and attentive, and were great to work with. I especially appreciated Jose's kindness, commitment to the tenants, and willingness to help at all hours of the day - he is very welcoming and treats everyone like family. I would recommend the Robert Browning to any of my friends looking for a nice place in a great location and at a reasonable price for the area.

I loved the studio apartments. I didn’t care that they were on the smaller side…I loved the aesthetic and the location. Perfect for a young woman. However, after submitting my application and proof of income, I get a call back from Jodie. I feel she prejudged me based off of a bank statement that I submitted it wasn’t even from my main banking account. She so graciously pointed out that I had 25 odd dollars in my account at the moment. What does that have to do with anything? I’m not broke and that wasn’t even my main account. She said “I don’t think you can afford living here…” and it’s hilarious to me because I work at a law firm and have several other income sources in addition. Now, I’m happy that she didn’t file my application and refunded my app fee because I wouldn’t want to live somewhere that I am judged.

I loved living at Robert Browning. The space has so much character and the location can’t be beat especially for the price. I fell in love with the apartment and the building the moment I saw it. Jose is the kindest and best maintenance man I’ve ever had experience with. Jodi is also kind and accommodating. She was always very quick to respond to any concerns or questions I may have had. A great experience overall and I’d highly recommend these apartments to anyone wanting to live in the Plaza area

SO recommend this building/management/maintenance team! A very enjoyable year and a half at the Robert Browning building. When I did have maintenance requests, it was solved within 24 hours if not within the hour. The units have a lot of character, crown molding, detail, and this building is in a great area walking distance to anything on the plaza. I left due to moving out of state for work but should I ever come back to the KC area, this is where I would want to live again.

I cannot say enough great things about the Robert Browning apartments! Jodi, David, and Jose are so welcoming and truly make the building feel like home. During my 3+ years as a resident, any issue or concern I had was handled promptly and with great care. Not only is the Robert Browning management amazing, but the charm of the building and its close proximity to the best shops and restaurants cannot be beat. I highly recommend living at the Robert Browning!

The studios are small, but Robert Browning is the standard I'm going to set future apartments to. Jodie does a wonderful job of giving the apartments a professional but intimate feeling. I leased from her October 2012 - September 2014. The properties manager, Jose, was an awesome, hard working guy and prompt with anything I needed. The poet buildings on the plaza are older and will need constant maintenance through your stay, but they are accommodating, giving notice and resuming utilities and services when they say they will. I strongly recommend you give them a chance.

I had a wonderful experience for my year living on the plaza! My apartment had been newly renovated and was just lovely. It had natural light pouring in, was quiet even for being on a busy street and had historic charm. Jodi, David, and Jose are incredibly respectful and a great team. I always felt safe while being on the plaza. Great place to live, highly recommended!
