Absolutely phenomenal! Menu changes often so there's always a reason to come back. Their service is top notch and the food is some of the best I've had. See mussels with curry squash and a mini pumpkin with duck and everything else good. *Chef's kiss*Food: 5/5
Fabulous brunch options. Get here before they close in March! I opted for the French toast, but if you haven't had it: get the cheeseburger! Fabulous service.Food: 5/5
We went for dinner with friends and loved the view, atmosphere, and had great service. The drinks for most of us were also excellent. However we all felt that the food and presentation was a three star. So take that into account if you are reading this. I know they are going for the diner/dinette vibe but the shrimp cakes in a cardboard box isn't ideal. The French fries also were good but look like something you would get next door at CHS Field. I had the duck pasta with ricotta cheese and it was a major letdown for me. I should have ordered the burrito. However the menu isn't that large so your options are limited. The pork belly was tasty but had way too much spicy sauce all over it. Will I go back? Honestly it is unlikely. I hope they can improve the food and expand the menu because the location is beautiful and historic. And our server was prompt and took great care of us.
Came for brunch at 1pm on a Saturday and there was a lot of available seating. We got the gem lettuce salad, American Burger, and French toast and all 3 were very good. The salad has lots of fresh herbs, and the dressing was very flavorful. The burger was the perfect indulgent meal with tons of oozy cheese, fresh pickles and a good crust on the outside of the patties like a smash burger. The French toast was made using in house bread, and had a beautiful custardy inside and crunchy outside. I made sure to cover every bite with the blueberry sauce. It wasn't too sweet, but it still felt decadent. The restaurant has a chic industrial feel with lots of natural lights and a few plants. I would come back here in a heartbeat!
This was by far the best breakfast I’ve had ever and what had an influence on my relocation. I would highly recommend any and everything, but I had the American Breakfast and every single bite was more delicious than the next. The bread was light and toasted phenomenally, the pork belly was an amazing step up from regular bacon or sausage, had a perfect crisp, the eggs were made exactly the way they needed to, and last but not least the hash browns were the absolute perfect texture and flavor. I would recommend this place to anyone.
The food was great, I’ve never order a bologna sandwich at a sit down restaurant… but they talked it up. It was very good. The reason for the 3 stars probably has more to do with “progressive” government intervention. The prices were disgustingly expensive. It’s a shame…Food: 5/5
A Lowertown restaurant with brunch and dinner service beginning at 2:00pm with bar and table seating. Staff were all excellent and the menu is small but very well cooked and features a nice selection of cocktails with a few local beers and house non-alcoholic drinks. Bologne sandwich was filling with house cured bologna that cuts back on a some of the saltiness I expected. Pork belly from the dinner menu is served with a salsa macha that I found a bit tangy and mild in heat for my tastes but it was still quite tasty, if a bit small. The bone marrow spread over toasted brioche from the dinner menu was my favorite with a parsley vinaigrette garnish balancing the richness of the marrow and Welsh rarebit.
On every level, Saint Dinette is exceptional. Tim is a warm and gracious host who was happy to take time to visit with his patrons. The atmosphere is equal parts modern/industrial while also feeling cozy and inviting. I struggle to find the correct adjective to describe the food. Delicious is an okay descriptor, but still not quite enough. I'll say this: It is clear that each item has been very intentionally designed and prepared with a lot of focus paid to how the food will be experienced. I had the cheeseburger with fries and a house salad. The burger patty was perfectly charred on the edges while keeping the meat juicy and the cheese melty! The house made fries were delightfully crispy with just the right amount of salt. The dressing was also delicious, but maybe just a little bit heavier than I'd prefer. My date had a Manhattan, while I enjoyed a Summit NA. She claims that Dinette makes the best Manhattan in the city, and I will take her word for it, as should you. The bartenders are wonderful and offer a wide variety of options to pair with your meal. Overall, this is a place I would insist you experience for yourself. A true gem, and as with all good things, we don't know how long they'll last, so please make the time soon! If you read this entire review, I am grateful, as I can tend to be long-winded. Also, there's better ways to spend your time, so go do that
A true St. Paul gem! I’ve been several times throughout the years and it’s always been great. Drinks, food, atmosphere, service… top notch all around. Tim, please don’t close!!!!!!Food: 5/5
