One of the best experiences I have ever had, so much fun...The manager made sure he makes you comfortable with using bow and arrow even if it is your first time. Please check this place out if you are ever in Utah. Oh and it is cheap prices that is very affordable
Excellent instruction from Larry, excellent prices, and beginner friendly! We had a group of 6 people, 4 adults and 2 children ages 8 and 7. With the exception of 2 of the adults having some sort of experience as children basically, still beginners everyone was a beginner. We opted for a private group lesson and Larry was our teacher. He was excellent with the kids and made sure to keep them involved with everything. He took time with each of us to go over things we needed to do to start with, and then again to help us improve. This was such a great experience and we all enjoyed learning archery and will definitely be back again!
Very reasonably priced. $6 for a whole day of shooting. Equipment rental was $5 and an extra $1 for the target. It was a little frustrating waiting for slower people to finish before I could get my arrows. Next time I'll go when there are less people. Definitely coming back!
We came here for a family opportunity. You have to be 7 or older to shoot, but they had a bunch of toys for my daughter to play with. My wife, my son, and I, had an absolute blast. The price was really good, we rented a bow, some arrows and shot for over an hour, and still under 50 dollars. The owner was very polite and friendly, and really added to the experience. This is a great place to go for a date night.
I really like the hours and the price. The staff is eager to ignore you. They aren’t rude, just distant. I usually prefer that to overly enthusiastic “can I help you?” types at the chains, but it is almost like you step up to the counter and need to clear your throat to get service. That said, it is a cheap range to practice at, and as the adage goes, quality, time or price - pick two. I keep coming back because it is very affordable and has a great location once you find it.
My husband and I had been here a handful of times to rent equipment and shoot. Enjoyed it enough that we got our own equipment. I bought a compound bow, and since I had never shot one before, scheduled a lesson with Larry. The staff is certainly reserved, but not rude. Isaiah at the counter was incredibly helpful getting my bow set up for my draw length and strength while explaining each step of what he was doing and showing me how to make future adjustments myself. My first impression of Larry was that he was gruff, but that impression melted pretty quickly once the lesson began. Larry is a phenomenal teacher. He's knowledgeable, but there are plenty of knowledgeable people who are terrible teachers. Larry is able to convey what he knows in a way that makes it accessible to someone with virtually no experience. He's observant, patient, and kind. His teaching highlighted what I was doing right and expanded it rather than criticizing the mistakes I'm sure I was making. Check out the wall around the cash register: you don't get that many commendations and thanks for your work with the youth paralympics if you're rude and dismissive. I rarely write reviews but was so surprised to see the negative comments about this place that I had to share my experience.
Just walked in to shoot for an hour. It was $11/person including equipment rental and we could have stayed for as long as we wanted until close. The equipment we were given was nothing exciting, but acceptable. Although I indicated that we were complete novices, we were told they didn't have time to show us how to do anything, which I was a little surprised about-I wasn't expecting formal lessons or anything, but just a quick, basic run-through would have been nice. The guy that gave the equipment to my kids 8 and 10 talked to them like they were 3 years old, which they seemed a little annoyed by, but whatever. The facility felt a bit ghetto, but it works and does what it needed to do.
I initially went here because it was convenient for a lunch break. I'm glad I did! I'm not sure what previous reviewers have meant about "rudeness" as the staff has always been pleasant and chill when I've gone there. If you go during the day when it's not busy, sometimes they'll come over and give you tips not to mention you can sometimes have one of the range areas to yourself. They are very knowledgable about the sport and have good recommendations for equipment. I had some cheap-o beginner's arrows I was using and they let me try out some better arrows. The difference in my shooting was astounding! I immediately purchased some better arrows. With the customer service I receive each time I go, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Also, I've been to a few other ranges and a lot seem to be more hunter-focused. This one has a great mix for any type of archer, whether you're doing longbow, recurve, compound, whatever. Go here!
Great range. Owner is very helpful. I paid for a one hour archery lesson and it was worth every penny! I learned so much. It moved me to buy a bow from them. If you’re looking to get into archery or if you were already into it this is the place to go.
The staff here is incredibly rude and unknowable. I came to have a compound bow adjusted and it was like talking to a wall. Unfortunately he said he wouldn't do it because the "screws are too short" even though it's been adjusted by other shops before so I'll take my business elsewhere.
