Salt Life Food Shack

Food and price was fair for the location and atmosphere. Sushi was exceptionally good and so was the Poke for the type of restaurant it is. Negatives were the fact that they don't do call ahead or reservations. Nor will they give you the current wait time or any information for you to make a decision if you are willing to wait or not. And trying to sell pictures of you that they take, was a little annoying trying to push them on you. Not even a frame just a floppy picture. Anyways really enjoyed everything else. Food, drinks, atmosphere. No more beach view either. There is a hotel going up right in front of it.

Food was good but a little pricey. $10 for a hamburger can be justified for the atmosphere and location but fries should be included. Not an additional, almost $3, for a little cup. Add a drink and you've killed a $20. Service was accurate but slow. Sometimes excessively slow. Friendly staff. Place was packed so a patient person would be understanding. Overall not a bad experience. Will be back.

I recently went to salt life food shack in st Augustine and was dissatisfied with my food. I ordered two clusters of crab. The first cluster that I ate I could easily tell it had been sitting out or sitting somewhere and that they just reheated it. The second cluster was perfect it was cooked great and had a hard shell. But the first clusters shell was very flexible and easily bent.

Drove up from Cape Coral for a mother/daughter weekend with my 12yr old. Visiting old saint Augustine. Food was great. Server was awesome, sorry can't remember his name. The only thing that bummed my daughter out was lack of shirts to buy there. We are Floridians BUT, she gets shirts everywhere we go. She wanted a tee or hoodie. None, just tanks. We will go back and definitely recommend the food, just hope there stocked up on shirts next time.😁 we are Salt life!💖😁

Love the decor especially the fish tank. Wasn’t really busy so we waited like 30 seconds on a table. My only complaint was for the price I felt like portions should have been a little larger. Other than that customer service was good. Overall positive experience.
