Excellent place to come if you are the hiking or outdoors type. Lots of stuff to do including bike riding, fishing, having a picnic or even just to hang out. Lots of parking spaces for handicapped parking. There is also very clean public restrooms. Spectacular views. During the summer months this area can get extremely packed with river goers. The wild horses can be seen and heard at random times if you look for them. Excellent part of the salt river

We lived in Tucson for about 9yrs. Took this drive fromShowlowto home in Tucson via rte. 60. It truly is an amazing sight to drive down into this Salt River Canyon. Arizona is the most beautiful state and I wish we still lived there.

Awesome road trip and awesome views! Friends took me to their cabin in the white mountains from Tucson when I was over on a holiday from Australia, awesome drive and a beautiful part of the world!

Drove thur this morning in an 18 wheeler and was the most amazing drive (about scared the crap out of me but was awesome). Just can't explain to people back home how beautiful it was all the way to interstate 40. Just loved it.
