Samba Kitchen

This place is amazing! We stumbled upon Samba after deciding we didn't want to order in. The food was delicious, the wait staff really friendly, and the atmosphere was great. When we ordered, we asked to substitute for the rice for yucca fries, which they said they couldn't do. I was a bit annoyed, but after getting the entrees, realized the rice was the perfect compliment to them. Both were seafood stew type dishes - one was actually served inside a coconut, which was really cool. We'll definitely be back!

I work for the restaurant business so I expect a really really great service. This place is really good! The music, the food, the drinks have a great quality. Guava drinks are my favorite! Server was very friendly and helpful but he could've checked on us at least a couple times to make sure everything was fine (just to make presence on the table) given that there were only 3 tables being served. Overall I loved the place and would definitely go back!

Went here for dinner because of good reviews and they did not disappoint. Went in a group of five and everybody was very happy with what they got and the bread we had with our dinner was amazing. They were very friendly and had good service. Prizes are good too. Highly recommended.

Their Brazilian cheese bread was amazing and their presentations are beautiful. Unfortunately the rest of the food sucks. I should have known when the place was completely empty. The waiter brought the wrong salad (shocking since as I mentioned above I was the only person in the restaurant). The coconut shrimp dish was just weird. It came served in a coconut covered with mashed potatoes and then with a side plate of white rice. The flavors weren't great and the shrimp weren't of a sufficient quantity or quality to justify the price. The are plenty of decent restaurants in NYC, don't bother with this one.

Great place, with great food, drinks and live music! We went for brunch on a Sunday and was super good! I highly recommend it. Try the passion fruit caipirinha!
