About

Hola! Esperanto is a fun, lively place to enjoy Brazilian and South American food and music in the East Village.

Story

Esperanto specializes in Latin American fusion cuisine while incorporating traditional, northeastern Brazilian dishes. In addition to our fusion dishes, we also offer live music every night.

Pair our delicious dishes with our fresh fruit cocktails. Enjoy a traditional caipirinha and add fresh passion fruit for a twist on the Brazilian classic.

Esperanto offers a lively atmosphere that captures the essence of Latin and South America. Obrigado!

Came for an early dinner with some friends. We had the good fortune of meeting the owner Alberto who was super nice and accomodating. He started us off with some complimentary chips, salsa and guacamole while we were waiting for the two other people in our party to show up. After that, we ordered the prix fixe menu that they have on Sundays. We ended up choosing all different combinations of food to make sure we could all have a taste of something different. We shared the snapper ceviche, goat cheese, octopus salad, and the fish and potato croquettes to start. All are highly recommended and have a good flavor profile. For the entrees we did the salmon, the burger, the flank steak, and the pork tenderloin. Combine that with some mojitos and some caipirinhas and our group was set for the night.

Great place! The food is delicious, live music, and reasonably priced. Staff is super friendly. We got complimentary drinks for unexpected additional wait time and shots for my friends birthday! I would definitely recommend and will be going back.

Chill spot, serves Brazilian food, very interesting food presentation, particularly the kale salad.. Went there for the first time, for my birthday and the general manager was a tremendous help, going above and beyond to ensure that my guests and I were taken care of.. Thanks again A!!
