San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC)

It's extremely sad to read these reviews. I don't even live in San Diego County. But was thinking about transferring my housing. San Diego housing. Your job is social services. To assist people in poverty and to provide outstanding customer service. To the deputy director over this agency. You need to reevaluate your employees every 6months to make sure their still fit for this position. These reviews are unacceptable.

My landlord says "whats that place that gives you the discount???? they are not paying me" "I was like you mean the SDHC!?!?!" he said"whatever, tell them they are not paying me" I said....... "The San Diego Housing commision is the best and I cant believe you have not heard of them, they help alot of people and is an amasing organisation! " he said "meh". who is this guy sutherland?!?!?

They are just the office, You have find housing on your own. Yes, They are not responsible for the housing. Good luck!

I live with my parents on this housing program and I did get married back in June. Before I got married we had asked the case worker if it was okay for my husband to move in after the wedding and she said that She needed proof of the marriage and proof that I am pregnant. We provided that proof and have a receipt showing we gave that proof. Now we got a 90 day notice from our manager and we had asked the case worker if we could up our valture to a three-bedroom because we have a child on the way. She said no. Why? BC my husband is not approved on section 8 BC she FAILED to put in the effing system that we are married and I have a child on the way. She threatened to take away our housing valture BC she FAILED to put any of the proof of marriage and proof that I am pregnant into our case. They are a waste of time. They are no help. They lie. They threaten. They just plain do not care.

Currently requesting Administrative Hearing to review claims of fraud , misconduct, gross mismanagement, breech of contract, unethical practices and procedures, causing extreme financial hardship homelessness and ultimately the loss of custody of my only son (who just turned eight) to his abusive father. This is all do to errors made.by the San Diego Housing Commission. Seeking Reinstatement of Voucher under the FUP Program. Priority rapid rehousing financial assistance for moving expenses, as well as monetary reimbursement for out of pocket expenses, damages pain and suffering and total loss of households contents, hotel and car rentals , personal debts incurred, reverse eviction, formal apology, lawyers fees and opportunity to receive all necessary and available services including case management as well as the implementation of one on one sessions to communicate and understand all housing needs. A change must be made. My experience has been so horribly tremendously bad that I am not and will not go away until somebody first acknowledges it, and second fixes it. Until then as far as I am concerned they've destroyed my family and ruined my life!!!!!
