Master Kevin, Dan, Kyle and the rest of their team are amazing. They love kids and it shows. We go twice a week and our boys really enjoy learning martial arts. It’s been great for listening and respect. Highly recommend Seung-ni for martial arts in Traverse City!

Master Shoults is an excellent teacher, and really cares about all of his students-- I've never seen him play favorites. All of the black belts I have met are respectful, and encourage others rather than intimidate them. The Seung-ni building itself is enough to make anyone want to train there, and the instructors are the icing on the cake. I highly recommend training at Seung-ni; I have trained in martial arts for 14 years, and have yet to find a better place to train!

Master Kevin, Master Dan and the team are amazing. My son and daughter have been with Seung Ni for 1 year and have enjoyed the physical and mental training the kids receive being part of taekwondo. My daughter competitively figure skates and she enjoys the cross training she gets out of taekwondo, helping with muscle toning, flexibility and balance needed for skating as well! It’s a fabulous year round sport for all age children. Come down and check it out!

I was never athletic (or particularly active) growing up, so I was intimidated by finding some place to get in shape as my 30th birthday loomed closer. Seung-ni's no-pressure, no-commitment free first class was what initially got me to give it a try, and I signed up for a full year's membership that day! This gym is genuinely welcoming, the classes are fun & effective, and there is a pretty wide variety of students. The instructors are all friendly & knowledgeable, and while you are encouraged to challenge yourself, it is always OK to take things at your own pace and no one ever pressures you. I sincerely recommend Seung-ni to anyone new to working out, or unsure about how to get started, as well as to well-versed athletes looking to add something new & valuable to their routine.
