Sharp Top

This is a great hike with a lot of elevation gain. Great views of the valley along the trail with a 360° view at the summit.

I don't know what kind of bums gave this piece of beauty a 4 star or less, but this thing is stinking phenomenal. The only reason I can think is that at the top there is a shelter which could sorta ruin the view and feel slightly, but if anything having a sweet shelter on the top of a mountain is a positive thing, not a negative thing. The views at the top are 360 degrees of sheer swellness. We hiked up for sunset and hiked back down in the dark. Definitely would recommend this hike to anyone even remotely nearby or if you have time at all to swing by. I think the hike was 2.7 miles round trip with an out and back type of trail style. Elevation gain was 1200 some feet. So overall the hike doesn't even take that long. Although you'll want to hang out at the time for quite some time. Look the hike up on alltrails for more info. Used to hike up Sharp Top with kids, friends, & guitar; we sang Praise songs for God from the Top...Thrilling!

A beautiful hike. You can take a bus that will bring you about half way up and back down once you finish. $5.00 is the fee cash only. I myself hiked from the bottom to the top and road the bus back down. There's a lot of steps and clif hangers. The path gets very narrow at parts but you can't get lost lol. There are also signs to help guide you because there are other attractions around the area. My only problem with this place is at the top. Humans like to leave trash and food everywhere so the flys are in the millions . Yes i know it's in the forest there will be bugs but this is like a horse fly nest just every where and it's because of the trash that people leave around.
