Shoshone Lodge & Guest Ranch

We were really lucky to stumble upon this place. Only a few miles away from the east Yellowstone entrance saves you about an hour of driving as opposed to staying on the actual town of Cody. Reasonably priced cabins considering the quality of the stay and the beautiful secluded location. Everyone who worked there was incredibly nice and let is borrow bear spray so we could go on a hike up the mountain. They have a dinner restaurant on site and the food was actually pretty good. While we were at dinner there was a bear walking up the driveway and the staff was generous enough to allow everyone to leave the dining room to go look of we wanted. They offer horseback riding and have a nightly fire for Smores. I would definitely recommend the Shoshone Lodge for your stay in Yellowstone.

What an amazing place! My Daughter and I stayed there 2 nights ago and enjoyed a wonderful 2 hour horseback ride. River, Spencer and William were awesome guides and made us feel very comfortable, considering our inexperience. That's another item I can cross off my Bucket List! Food was great too. I highly recommend this place!!

My mom and I stayed last night! We had the most welcoming crew! All employees talked about how great their boss was and how much they enjoyed their jobs! We had an excellent 2 hour horseback ride tour last night! This stop of our trip was to fullfill a bucket list dream of my Mom’s. Her dreams were met! River, William and Spencer did an excellent job making us feel comfortable as we haven’t ridden since we were kids! We were fortunate enough to see elk, mule deer and a bear! When word was sent of a bear close to camp, the three guys acted quickly to take a formation around us for oursafety. They were equiped and prepared for anything. We were very safe! The lodge itself was suren. In the morning we shared a fresh pot of our favorite coffee, but it was the best coffee due to the peace and comfort of Shoshone Lodge! They have so much to offer to meet your vacation needs plus more! Thank you crew, you treated us like family!

I don't know why it took me so long to post a review, but I stayed at Shoshone Lodge this past June and it deserves nothing less than a 5 star review. From booking my cabin, to departure, everything was smooth. The people there seem to really enjoy what they do and will take the time out of their day to give you tips, directions, and just to make sure your time there is excellent. The cabin was perfect...just what we needed...and very clean. The food was delicious!!!! And the views, location, and distance from the East Entrance of Yellowstone couldn't have been better. They have horses there which we visited each evening, as well as the Shoshone River which was lovely to hear with the windows open as we fell asleep. I HIGHLY recommend them.

My experience was terrible!! The staff were very unkind, and we didn't enjoy our stay. the cabins were very old and rusty. Do not recommend
