The lawyers that helped me were nice and resourceful. They gave full explanation about clause for properties and procedures. However, the back of house staffs are a mess. They made tons of errors on my file. It was their responsibilities to make proper documentation but they didn't. I was called back saying I missed cheques?!? I had to call my bank and call the developer to confirm. Everything was super last minute. I do not recommend this firm.

The senior law clerk at the North York office, is very unprofessional and ignorant. From a law firm, one expect error-free work and professional handling of their services. This lady is explicitly rude. She does not return calls, outright told me that the bank client is more important to her than me despite the fact that I paid her fees (mortgage transaction). She sent me emails mixing up roles/responsibilities between me and bank and had no clue of her errors. She was behind in one of the tasks and told me 'well, we had a Christmas lunch and I couldn't get it done'. Not to mention the lack of language skills. I contacted the main lawyer/owner to complain about the lack of proper service; he was pretty decent and returned my calls, explained things the way they should be. I would not recommend this location.

I've dealt with them for past 10 years. Closed 4 houses, 3 refi and everything goes smoothly. Professional staff and clerks are very responsive. Very convenient office locations and hours.

NO! I strongly recommended all my clients to stop counting on them and withdraw their files.This law office do not accept their fault and they do not take any responsibility over their mistake. I have three different cases with them for different files. Very careless staff who jeopardize people investment and they are supported by Mr. Shub NO matter how poor they function!! They simply ignored my urgent calls and they did reply to any of my 6 times my call from 9 am to 3.30 pm for simply tell me if they received the instruction of the mortgage(which was sent the day before 6.47pm). They replied me too late and they notice the e-mail provided by them is not longer valid!!!since that employee is not working there!!!! we could not close on time BUT we paid penalty out of their lack of responsibility and by being ignored to answer us for 30 seconds.In the other file property tax was not calculated for buyer which caused my buyer pay interest after few months not finding the seller and going trough title insurance.and more to tell....

I used this office 4 times in last few years. First 3 times everything went smoothly , the office just did the paper work , no more no less. The latest time was a total disaster. The new home inspection was one day before closing, house was simply not ready, I called Shub office and was told by his legal team and we would delay closing. However , 4:30pm on the closing day , I received a call from his office that the builder demanded closing on this date or face penalty of 18% interest on the amount owing. Instead of fighting for me, Shub office simply caved in to the builder and advised me to accept the penalty despite of fact that his office recommended the delay a day early. As a result , I suffered considerable amount in penalty. If you want a lawyer who can help you when problems arise during closing, he is definitely not the one for you . In addition , his office is a total mess, everything is last minute.DO NOT recommend, and STAY AWAY.
