They were backed up and estimated my MacBook would stay there for about 6 days. Customer service was great. They charge for diagnostics which I wish I would’ve known before driving 30 min out there. The apple support representative mentioned that it wouldn’t cost me anything unless they actually replaced something in the hardware. 5 stars for them 1 star for Apple Support
My iPhone was having some major issues after an update - and after speaking with Apple Care, it was recommended that I head into a store to check out my phone in person. The team at Simply Mac was fantastic! While my issue was one that couldn’t be solved in that trip, they were great at helping me figure out what was going on and offered me a couple solutions to begin fixing the problem. They were incredibly knowledgeable about Apple products and really are there to help out! I highly, highly recommend this business if you need to have an Apple product looked at or repaired!
As a new user of Apple computers, I appreciated the friendly, helpful advice of the staff. There was no effort to "up-scale" my purchase beyond my needs. They were patient while describing the differences between models of Mac computers and even steered me to purchasing a factory-reconditioned unit as a more appropriate alternative. I liked their thoughtful attention to my needs as a person new to the Mac world and I will be going back to them for what I need in the future.
I always get good help in this Simply Mac store. Tyler is amazing and always helpful. The people who make the appointments could do a better job of triage. I made an appointment to get a new battery in my iphone. When I got to the store, I was told that they might not have any batteries in stock for my 6e phone they did have them in stock, but sometimes they don't. It would have been very disappointing to drive in 45 minutes to the store and find out they did not have the battery in stock. A simple question from the person making the appointment for me would have insured that they had this item in stock at the time of my appointment. Hope this is helpful information.
I checked on the apple website if my iPhone 5 qualified for service for a defection part. It said it did. I checked locations to take the phone and Simply Mac in Happy Valley was identified. I called the store and they said they do service my issue. They checked my serial number and I qualified. I knew the phone would have to be sent in and asked if they had a loaner for per per what the apple website said would happen. They said they did have a loaner for me and to come in. I spent my Saturday morning driving to the store 30 minutes there with my 1 year old daughter. Once I got there the tech said my phone did qualify for a new on/off button and new battery which was defective but that I would need to mail it in. I knew this and wanted a loaner per what the employee said earlier I could get on the phone. The tech said he didn't have a loaner and that he couldn't help me. I wasted my entire Saturday morning doing. I called before and made sure if I came in I could get a loaner and that my phone would be fixed. Instead I left with nothing extremely frustrated at Simply Mac.
Walked into the store and the two employees didn’t give me the time of day. I told them my phone wasn’t turning on and they said there was no solution and I’d have to just buy another phone. They didn’t offer to run any diagnostic or try and restart my phone. They seemed more interested in talking with each other rather then helping any customer. I went to batteries plus afterwards and they fixed it immediately no charge. I usually find apple employees to be very helpful and thorough. This was a pretty disappointing experience to say the least.
I'm only giving the store 4stars because of my initial encounter. My appointment was for 220p, but I arrived at 2p, hoping I could drop my phone off and go eat. I was told no one could receive my phone until 220p, and to return at that time. I thought it was ridiculous that out of all the employees in the store, NO ONE could help. I returned at the designated time, and I can only assume that my displeasure had been passed on to the manager, because she turned my experience around! She went out of her way to assist me, and because my battery of only three months had become swollen, she worked with Apple to get me a new phone altogether. Same phone which I wanted, but new. No hassle on my end whatsoever. I have gone to this store numerous times, and this was my only 'less than optimum' experience, and that was fixed. All in all, I'd return.
I went in for an IPhone 6 battery replacement thinking it was only going to cost me $29 like Apple is advertising. I get to the technician and he say $29 for the battery + $20 for the service. I’m like, why so much? The response I get is they ARE NOT APPLE, the are a partner. After a moment to think I decided to get done as I was there. Then without telling me they started doing a diagnostic, printed out a form for me to sign, as I read though the contract I noticed that they wanted me to pay $69. When I ask where the extra $20 came from, their reply was “No its $69 for the diagnostic on top of the battery and service fee”! If you don’t want to go to the real Apple store, take note that you will be paying for it. However my advice is not to go to Simply MAC.
This store is excellent!! Alex had the patience of a saint and stuck with things until he was able to problem-solve the issues. I bought my refurbished MacBook Air here and have always had great customer service. It’s absolutely worth the extra drive time from Portland to have a great experience!
I'd like to give this review 10 stars!!!! Beyond helpful and friendly service - the BEST service EVER!!! Thank you to the Simply Mac team for setting up the new iPhones for the three of us and our family plan! Austin - you are amazing - as is the rest of your crew. I don't know that I'll ever go back to a regular AT & T store again! You shine!
