South Bay Community Services

As someone employed by SBCS, I found that they are still a bit "green" in terms of running a mental health service. They require staff to use their own personal phones to call clients, only pay a set amount for gas for the month even though they have you driving all over the place, and refuse to let staff perform CPR on a client having cardiac arrest, instructing them to never touch a client and to just call 911 (in case you didn't know, a person's chance of surviving cardiac arrest drops 7-10% every minute that CPR is not administered, which is about 10-15 minutes until you reach 0% survival). Supervisors have master's degrees but no professional license. Overall not a good company to be serviced by or to work for. There were only 2 or 3 therapy rooms while I was there, which made it difficult to schedule clients for office visits. The only positives were that supervision was always fantastic and the front desk staff is lovely to chat with.

They really help with my kid. Good people and very human/sensitive staff.
